After watching that shocker the other night, I was thinking what the best Welsh side of my lifetime was. For me, it has to be the team of Rush, Hughes, Saunders, Van Den Hauwe, Ratcliffe and Southall. One of the best attacks of the modern game and some great defence in the Everton trio but, in true Wales fashion, not a lot in between.
Any thoughts?

I would have to say the Hughes, Rush, Southall generation that narrowly missed out on the 1994 World Cup.

Yeah, Rushy and Co from that era were probably our "Golden Generation", to use the well-worn cliche. I am also just about old enough to remember the team of Toshack, Leighton James, Brian Flynn, etc which was also a pretty useful side
