He's the only one to stick up for the marchers & the march, well spoken.

Top man Mike you really put those pilocks in their place.

Get this they said it was wrong to demonstrate on a match day and it should have been arranged for another day! No shit honest that was said.

Next the players would be affected by a march from Canton to the stadium!!!!

And the £10 ridder notes didn't send a message.

Honestly if I didn't know different I would say the Riddler had set this one up. But fair play Mike wiped the floor with them. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Thanks for your positive feedback Rick & Tony. Before I got on, I really thought that the show had been hijacked by Ridsdale's mates. I thought he's invaded Ponty and taken over the radio station.

Mike, hats off to you, you are a fcuking legend :ayatollah:

I nearly fell over listening to the tripe being trotted out by what surely was a couple of Ridsdale 'plants' in the studio.......

- "Don't march on match day"
- "It'll affect the players"

I have never heard such bile in my life.
Thought you did a great job of staying calm and composed in the face of such utter bollocks and knocked them for six in your justification.

I'll tell you one thing - If I was a player I'd be more 'affected' by worrying whether I was going to be paid this month, rather than worrying about TRUE FANS PROTESTING about the way the club is run so badly that I may not get paid this month - Christ, If I were one of the players I'd be bl00dy applauding the march

Respect to you,

Peter

Thanks, Peter. If you're speaking from the heart, you can't go wrong.

In fairness, I don't think the kid hosting it had much of a clue about what's been going on and Lee Beames is a big City fan but seems prepared to back the Board. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but it did seem a bit one-sided on there tonight. Has Keith Cooper disappeared this week because the Club weren't happy with his "negative" input of late? That's my theory.......

To be honest Mike, when i first tuned in i thought i was on a different channel. I am a regular listener to the phone in, which i usually enjoy ,but tonights phone in was conducted very poorely. Glad you spoke out though.

An interesting theory Mike - I've listened to a few shows where you have called in and gauged Coops input / reaction
My honest worry about Keith Cooper is that he never actually comes out and gives an opinion which slates the board or goes against them in any way. He is very clever at acting dull. uninformed and unaware of what is going on when anything negative is pointed out against the board on the phone in.

Hmmmmmmmm, I wonder whether the fact that he's the resident 'host' in the Chairman's Suite on match day and spends each game sat/stood with security/PAs just 10 feet away from Borley, Ridsdale, Kinnock, Toshack etc has anything to do with his non commital approach on the phone in and absense all of this week

I wonder, it's a toughie

Interesting, I've alwayt thought him more subjective than objective when dealing with matters concerning CCFC.

I think poor Keith has been struck down by a mystery illness and will be sidelined for a while.......... ;)

Listen to the recordings of the show and you'll recognise he NEVER goes against Ridsdale, the Board or Dave Jones, just merely repeats back what the caller has said so you hear it coming out of his mouth too........ but not his words

Clever, but not clever enough ;)

I remember he did had an issue with some callers a year or so ago, questioning his support & loyalty to our club.

If Keith's employed by the club, you can't blame him for fence sitting can you? He does a pretty good job on the show in fairness to him. Be glad when we can all go back to talking about the footie but I suspect that's some way off yet.
