Denied a ticket for today's game!

My mate has just tried to buy a ticket for today's match but when he gave them his details they proceeded to tell him that he has previously had a banning order against him which gives the club the right to rufuse a entry to him. They then told him that he'd need to speak to the clubs safety officer to see if he can get in. He explained that he had been banned but that had been spent now but she still wouldn't let him buy one. This is bloody rediculous if you ask me especially as I sit with people who have season tickets and have been banned previously! Is this a sign of things to come? Does anyone know who this safety officer is and what the likelyhood is of getting this over turned?

Why dont you buy the ticket for him and collect it from the ticket office or go to the cash booths outside the ground for him?

Or he could ring up again and if lucky talk to a different ticket office staff member, who may issue him a ticket

The ticket has been sorted, he's going to walk up and pay at one of the cash booths which is what makes this even more rediculous! Thanks anyway.
