Those of you who keep emailing Ridsdale telling him to go...

Sun Mar 07, 2010 6:17 pm

I can't remember which thread it was earlier today I think with a convo between someone and Ridsdale

the first reply he sent was something along the lines of:

If you want me to go, find a replacement and get the shareholders to agree

People have to realise that the majority of shareholders aren't going to push for the chairman to be sacked unless there is somebody there to replace him. I know the ususal replies to my posts are that there are 1001 people that are better/cheaper etc that would do the job.
The board/shareholders aren't going to sack Ridsdale without lining someone else up in my opinion. How long could it take to advertise, interview and appoint someone that is actually able to do a good job?

How about, the people that keep threatening him by email/text telling him to f**k off and the rest of it, put some money together and take out an advert or even contact some of the names that keep popping up and try and find someone that is able to, and willing to do the job? Get the ball rolling, get somebody willing to do the job and then press on with the EGM to get rid of Ridsdale and appoint the new director?

If you can find someone that is willing to, and experienced enough to take on the position surely that would hole you in good stead to get rid of Ridsdale.

David Temme, could fill the gap or even Jason Turner who knows the running of things top to bottom, you could have 4 people on 100 grand each, and it would be cheaper and achieve more.

Well why don't people contact David and ask if he's wiling to do it

Hardly worth it because as you rightly point out the shareholders won't remove Ridsdale.

Well their more likely to if there was actually a viable alternative who was ready, able and willing to do it.

Makes more sense than the pathetic threatening emails, phone calls and texts. At least try doing something about it

If you were to advertise what would it say

CEO of Cardiff City Football Club required

experience in successfully running a football club

......how did ridsdale get the job, his CV is brilliant, running a football club; twice, twice into administration one lost their top flight status for the first time in god knows how long and the other lost its ground

who appointed him ??

I would suggest we have someone running it now who doesn't have the first idea on how to run a football club successfully, he has no experience of doing it

I totally agree about the threatening emails, calls and texts. Although I admit I love reading them when they are posted up I do get the impression that Ridsdale is inviting that kind of correspondence for some sinister reason.

I have emailed him but what I say is more subtle by suggesting why he is mistrusted and whatever his previous ‘achievements’ are that won’t change the here and now. He seems to get very disappointed when the conversation doesn't descend into a slanging match and he comes across as quite pathetic when trying to play the victim card.

You might be right about having a readymade person to takeover, but I think the fact he has done so much to help Guy to strip the club assets means PMG for one won't be in a hurry to get rid. There is also the small matter of a £1m pay off which could put us into administration within 28 days of him leaving.

Jason Turner would do a far better job. He'd sort the lot of them out down there. And he'd start NOW!

I would not want Temme anywhere near my football club,

In my opinion he's worst than Ridsdale with the ego to match, don;t forget this is the man who called us a bunch of, morons not so long ago

David Temme's been fighting cancer so I doubt he'd be able.

With all respect to all the posters, "they are all in it together" even Borley. The ONLY
way we will get rid of Ridsdale is to go into administration, and personally, I cant wait for
the day. As I have said before, the Malaysians (If there are such a group) or any other
interested parties will not take on this club whilst there are such huge depts to offset.
It is unfortunate for those creditors who are owed money by the club but, unfortunately,
thats the way businesses work these days.
The main reason why businesses look at it in this way is because Ridsdale has sold ALL
rights connected with the club as regards income for the next 2 years, so it will need a
lot of investment for those who come in. (The season ticket fiasco being just one)

It is not all doom and gloom though, I really believe that once administration is confirmed,
a number of investers will be interested in the club. :ayatollah:
