Confused

Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:07 pm

During the march something that confused me was the amount of people who shouted abuse at us from the sidelines. A few times I heard shouts of 'Idiots' and 'Pathetic, you're all pathetic'. Now, I can understand why people wouldn't want to go on the march. They don't know all the details of the club so prefer to remain on the fence. Whatever, we all have the right to our own opinions.

However, I didn't take kindly to the fact that we were getting abused for standing up for what we believed in in a very mature and peaceful manner. Everyone was civil on the march, no violence occurred and it was the best way to get the message across that we're not happy with the way our club is being run.

I wanted to shout back at the abusers 'so you're happy with your season ticket money being stolen and being lied to about our current plight?' but I didn't want to lower myself to their tit for tat abuse.

As for Ridsdale's attempts to stop the march, I cannot see how that march did any damage to potential investment. We showed how passionate we are as supporters and proved that if we're not happy, even in the extreme times, we can still state our discontent in a civilised and appropriate manner.

If anything, the march on Saturday should show potential investors that we're not only a club worth investing in, but a fan base worth investing in as well. :ayatollah:

Felt the same, we didnt feel the need to abuse people who's choice was not to march.

Rhooster, to be honest, I think by keeping our thoughts to ourselves and keeping our heads high we did ourselves proud and came out of it looking a lot better for it. I know a few people who said they weren't marching but now have said after the reaction they saw by some to it, wish they had.

We achieved the following

We stood up to the tyrant PR and made our Voices heard, just by that made me feel good.
We didnt march with just a few hundred we marched with over 2,000 City Fans and showed them we can be a force and Next Time, there will be over 4,000.
We are letting them Know we wont have the wool pulled over our eyes.
PR is now running scared, BIG TIME.

Annis, do you think another demo should be organised for later on in the season, or do you think not?

Defo we need to we need to keep the pressure on him. Perhaps something different this time to keep the media spotlight on Ridsdale. How about the idea of the Chocolate and amber scarfs that was being banded about. Some sort of visual protest that would look good. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
