You all seem to miss the point.

The idea is people give you money for charity because they understand what a massive sacrifice you are making in order to raise the money. The fact that you all find it so hard MAKES IT such a good idea. Your raising money for charity, it's meant to hurt in order for people to respect your effort enough to give you cash.

Put it this way, if it was "The Shirt Of Hurt Appeal" and this was the only option open to you, you couldn't choose an easier option like cut off a finger. Would you do it?

I could it's just a piece of material, the added bonus is everyone I know couldn't help bit give me money as they know the hurt that I would be feeling inside.
