I know I'm probably preaching to the wrong crowd but is anyone on here going to the Tiesto concert at the CIA on Friday? I can't wait. I know his music isn't everyone's taste but I've listened to his stuff since I was a young lad so really can't wait for this. Does anyone know if they'll be searching on the doors for pills and booze?

For a moment I thought Tiesto Gig was a new Malaysian investor.

The man is a genius. But 3 Djs you should listen to that aren't that very well known are Sander Van Doorn, Gramaphondzie and Shinichi Osawa.

If you're worrying that they might find youtr pills during a body search that makes me wonder what size are the pills you're taking?

Ah, Sander van Doorn, not listened to his stuff since uni. Brings back memories!
Glad to see a big following are going. I heard he's due on at 11pm and playing until 3am but sometimes goes over until 4am or 5am. Reckon he'll be mashing it up in Gala Casino over the road afterwards?
I'm not going to take any pills or even get too drunk. Want to experience it fairly naturally. I have forgotten too many class gigs such as Scratch Perverts, Carl Cox, Underworld, Mr Scruff and 2 Many DJs. Time to remember one!!!
Tue Mar 09, 2010 10:30 pm
2 many Djs are just pure brilliance. I'm big into Steve Aoki on Mr.oizo at the moment as well. Soulwax night versions is an album well worth a listen.
Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:32 am
Yeah mate, totally agree about Soulwax. Unfortunately, I've stopped listening to all that as much now because my uni housemate used to get all the tracks in for his decks so I'd hear them on that and then get them. However, my little scout has departed back to Doncaster now so my resources are choked! Need to get involved again.

Some of the djs that are out there at the moment are mind blowing, steve aoki is another great dj he's just been picked up by radio 1 and they are loving his new song so you cane expect big stuff from him over the next year.
Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:45 am
Sounds good, I'll check him out. Any other recommendations?
Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:57 am
Bloody beatroots are quite good but they are a bit more dirty. Uffie is well worth a listen as well, kesha has just ripped her style off big time. When I get home I will have a look through my CDs and see what I got there

Behave, what's wrong with black men making music?

The names Fake Blood and Jakwob play a big part of pre-night out drinking for the lads in my flat at uni, but I figure that's more dubstep than Tiesto, though I'm not exactly sure what you'd call his stuff.
This is a good one by Tiesto mind:

And from Jakwob, a remix of Starry Eyed by the lovely Ellie Goulding - Turn this one right up

http://www.myspace.com/friendselectricmusicThe Ellie Goulding under the sheets remix is top quality. Local band from neath and the synth player is a massive city fan
