As I was waiting out by the team Coach last night, Steve Tucker asked him to make a few comments about last nights game, then he just went mad on him calling him a idiot and that none of the Lads will speak to him etc etc. Out of Order in my opinion as Steve Tucker was Nice to him. Chops seems to be a Big time Charlie at the moment, well if reports are right what I have been hearing he beeter make the most of it cos with in a few Years he'll be skint..... He has a huge gamble problem

He's a first class knob. A decent footballer when on form, but personally have never liked him.
Wed Mar 10, 2010 5:53 pm
He's a waste of a shirt, overated prima donna who could'nt hack it in the premiership.Worth no where near 20k a week.
Wed Mar 10, 2010 5:54 pm
ive met him twice, once he was great second time a tit, maybe depends on how the geegees are doing

I told him that the Newcastle Lads are guttles wankers, and he turned around and said I heard they ambushed you. He then said dont worry you'll have to have them when they come to us lol.

Yes, but he always seems to have long baron spells every season..That dont happen with class strikers..

Thats why he plays for us like J and not in the Premier in My Opinion.

spot on
his streak towards the start of the season, a goal a game near enough if i remember correctly?
if he could do near that consistently there's no way he'd be playing for us
also i think having our two most creative centre mids (McPhail/Ledley) out doesn't help Chopra

I think we could be a bit harsh here. We cant expect Rooney, Messi or Ronaldo playing for Cardiff City. Just remember he is 2nd highest scorer in the league behind Whitts.
I would rather him score loads and then go through a bad spell. That just not score at all.
Yes he may have a few off the field problems but so do lots of players.
Lets back our players. Chorpa is a top player and will be for years to come.

My misses met him at the club shop he was with enks and Burke my misses said Burke was a gent ( and his now her favorite player) enks was abit misrable and chops well he was the biggest tosser she ever met was complaining that he didn't want to do the autograph signing he was only there an hour whinging in front of all the kids that look up to him, he's lucky he didn't upset my little un my misses would of given him a rite gob full...

That's shit Chief i remember my eldest stepson went up to Ernie when he was playing for us and he was an absolute star. I didn't see Scott Young behind me and he looked upset he didn't ask him for his auto.
Lot of respect for Ernie wasn't up himself at all.
Got to wonder Chops marriage split has really fucked him up

Met him on a number of occasions and he is deffo "up himself" !
When you are a professional sportsperson/dancer/singer whatever you are - you are a role model and you will have debuts which involve public appearances (comes with the money and fame game)!
He is ignorant, rude and obnoxious - if i coudl give him benfit of the doubt I would say he has no personality or skills to interact with the public.
Either way deffo not my fav player.
My thumbs up for being great people when met Burke, Ledley, Bothroyd
Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:54 pm
once ive met him in the kids christmas party and he was quite pleasent had a chat with him told him i named my dog after him and it seemed to make him laugh aswell as bothroyd who was sitting next him!!
my ohnest opinion i beleive the players are all together and some are running on empty i.e chopra, bothroyd in particular.and when theres a fit striker not being used when they are clearly fucked might just piss you off a bit.it used to piss me off when i played and wouldnt be brought off if i was fucked cos you cant play at %100 then this leads do getting frustrated and having the hump for a few hours.thas what i think anyway!!!

I think he has been gambling on himself not scoring lately....

A wedge of the City boys visited the Velindre Cancer unit around xmas time, as the do every year. All seemed really interested, the likes of Hudson and Enks...Chopra on the other hands spent the majority of his time playing with his mobile phone.
Thinks hes chocolate that boy. We should NEVER have resigned him after we made such a tidy profit from him the first time.
Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:06 pm
CHOPRA SCORING ONLY 2 GOALS IN 24 GAMES IS A f*cking JOKE. I HOPE HE FUCKS OFF THIS SUMMER, AND WE BRING IN SOME ONE WITH PRIDE, HEART AND PASSION, A TRUE PROFESSIONAL. (IF CCFC IS STILL TRADING)
NEVER WORTH THE MONEY AND WAGES IN A MILLION YEARS!

Met him with my missus after we got beat on Boxing day against Plymouth. The word I would use to describe him is sullen. I asked him to pose for a photo with my missus, he barely smiled and didnt say a single word. On the other hand we also met Joe Ledley and Nathan Blake and they were both first class.
Thu Mar 11, 2010 11:05 am
Nathan Blake is an absolute legend and I can't wait to see if he goes into management. Not the brightest of individuals but a very intelligent football man. I reckon he could be a cracking manager if he had a go.
Chopra is too inconsistent for my liking. I'd much rather an Earnshaw but then again Earnie was one of my favourite Cardiff players of all time.
Something is up with Chopra and surely heading to Newcastle for nights out and gambling doesn't help. The point about us missing his main source of supply in McPhail and Ledley doesn't help either. Whittingham now as well.

Chopra is one of those players you bring in when you're desperate. If you are looking to build a solid team with a good work ethic, and positive attitude, this 'man' is the first to cross off your list.
I have NEVER rated him that much. Purple patches once or twice in a season when things are going well, but that's ALL you get from him.
He would be the first player to go, IMHO.

Only met him once, at the Cup Final and he was an absolute star with my 11 year old daughter and 14 year old nephew, posed for photos and generally made their day even more special. Have to say he spend a good hour with all the City fans signing things and having photos taken and he wasn't even playing for us then
My daughter also met him at a signing at the start of this season at the clubshop and siad he was great then too, and had a good chat when she handed him the photo from the Cup Final to sign.
So from my experience he's always been OK off the field
On the field I actually would never question his commitment. Although I wasn't at Ipswich I was at Preston and whilst he didn't have a great game he certainly didn't stop running (maybe he's trying too hard outside the box
). It is a weakness in his game that he tends to score in batches but if that wasn't there he wouldn't be playing with us in the Championship
Just think what might happen if he goes on one of those runs on his return from suspension with McPhail back in tow, would you bet against the play-offs then
Wishful thinking I know but we are still in 6th after him having gone on a pretty long run of not scoring and not many experts would bet against him not getting to at least 20+ goals for the season that's still only 7 in 10 games he can play in.

With all due respect that was at a CUP FINAL! he was emotionally charged and was obvioulsy on a high as you would expect. Anything i have heard about Chops is negative. His goals in the last 20 games have been non existent, and seems to me we would be better off cashing in on him if we can and paying off some damn bills!

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't argue strongly against selling him if we need to raise money but others have put forward their bad experiences of Chops and I just wanted to relay my experience
The only thing I would say about selling him, and I accept that it is virtually inevitable, is he would have to be replaced and a 20 goal a season CCC player does not come cheap.
Thu Mar 11, 2010 3:46 pm
unfortunately, worrying about a 20 goal a season striker is the least of the worries of this club!
They will have to give Feeney his run, sooner rather than later, Chopra's lack of goals is getting us into trouble with whittingham out.
Also, it might be better playing him up front on his own, with Jay playing behind him..... I know he's no Wayne Rooney but we need to change our style/formation fast because we are getting sussed way too easily!
Thu Mar 11, 2010 4:12 pm
maybe his gambling problem is affecting his performance on the pitch?
