A forum for all things Cardiff City

This was a worrying part of the statement the club made in its defence to the High Court. The club representative stated that our playing squad was worth £30m, suggesting that we could gain funds from that.
Now firstly, does anyone else think £30m for our playing squad is a bit overrated? I would say it's more like £20m, if that. Chopra would be £3m, Bothroyd £2m, Ledley £1.5m, Whittingham £2m, Marshall £1.5m, McNaughton £2m. That's about it of the big money. After that it's all five and six figure sums which would barely equate to £15m!
Then take into account when clubs realise how desperate we are for money the values will be cut down further.
I think HMRC have got our number and more specifically they have got Ridsdale's number. I think when they say our club insolvent they don't mean our club is, they mean our club under Ridsdale's management is.
I want one of two things to happen...
1. We got into administration, take the 10 point deduction, sell some players, get rid of Ridsdale and start again next season. Dave Jones has built a squad on free transfers and five figure buys before and he'll do it again.
2. Malaysians come in and take over now. I'm getting to the point where I am starting to wonder if I want guys in charge who would rather see us go into administration and possible liquidation rather than buy us out and push for the Premiership.
