Most Fickle Supporters in the land

Thu Mar 11, 2010 12:56 pm

The thread on here about Chopra just proves how fickle bunch of supporters we got down at the City. Ok, totally agree that 3 goals in 24 games is not a good return and very poor but for god sake saying things like hope he leaves and we should never have signed him back is just pathetic. Bet these were the same supporters that at the beginning of the year saying how good chops is and that he's premiership quality. Give the guy a break and get behind him, and the team! Has it ever occured to you that the players get told what is written on these boards and it probably pisses them off, then we all wonder why they show no passion for the shirt! its prob cos they think f$*k them all they do is slag me off! Show some support cos now is the time we really need to get behind the team cos it's the only decent thing we got at the club at the moment

Financially, we should not have brought him back. That's my view.

He's lacked service this season, that's certainly true.

do you honestly think he is playing for cardiff city or do you think he may just be playing for somewhere in the region of £20,000 per week,i personally havent slagged him off but i never felt that we needed to bring him back for £3,000,000 and pay him stupid money, and he does need to find the back of the net thou he probably isnt getting the service he needs :ayatollah:

people say maybe hes not getting the service etc. i have probably said the same.

but when you think about it, you have burkey whos in the from of his life, beats his man like hes not there, whips in some great balls. and threatens and is our best player most games.
you got jay who holds up the majority of aimless long balls fired upto him, and regulally flicks and feeds balls for chops.

i personally think hes a great player at this level. BUT IS HIS HEAD RIGHT and HEART IN IT ?? THAT GOES FOR 90% OF THEM

Is it fickle or an honest change of opinion based on his form?

Nail on the head there...I think Chopra has missed McPhail more than anyone, he puts some great balls through for Chopra..

The problem I have with that theory is McPhail/Chopra were both part of the teams which blew promotion positions in 2007 and 2009.

Not only that Chopra scored a hat-trick at Plymouth without McPhail in the side and the only time I really remember this dyanmic duo performing together was against an injury ravaged Derby County side.

how many goals have we seen him miss, season before last he was deadly in front of goal, keepers were shittingthemselves in one on one situations with him.. I've seen him fluff loads this season in those situations.. His head aint right. I'd love to see him play to his potential as we know he's an awesome striker on his day

I said at the time that due to the success of the Bothroyd/ McCormack partnership I didn't really think the Chopra transfer was in our best interests due to his inconsistencies but now he's here I'll support him. The service could have been better yes but he has missed a lot of sitters. I will continue to support him though.

I am a Big Chops fan, but lately he has gone down hill fast, needs a rest or maybe be the sub for a few games.

Yes but how many goals would Chopra have had if he had half the penalties that McCormack had last year. The fact is that McCormack only scored 10/11 goals in open play in a full season, that isn't good enough and needed to be addressed.

I think Chopra will come good again this season and I just hope it's soon
