AT THE END OF HIS 5TH YEAR

Thu Mar 11, 2010 7:19 pm

If we didnt make the Plays offs should DJ stay for another year ? NO
If we make the play offs and fail ? NO
if we get promoted ? Yes Deserves a chance.

My Opinions.

I see your point but i honestly think that to have ANY chance in the Premiership we would need someone with more technical nous and motivational ability than the happy scouser.

I know it may seem harsh on him if we did get promoted but bollocks to him!

When PR took on Dave Jones In 2005, i remember reading that the minimum objective for DJ was to get us into the playoffs then, five seasons ago.

I dont like the guy his sides are spineless give away late goals and never battle back from behind to win/draw but think if he gets us to the play offs with all the shite happening off the pitch he deserves to stay .

"NO!" on all three. He's so tactically naive and stubborn that we'd get shafted every week if he was in charge.

StT.

Agreed, I actually think promotion to the premiership is probably the only scenario where he won't resign.

Don't all laugh at this at once but if he was willing to take a mega pay cut, I'd be tempted to offer him a director of football type role where he could work with the scouts on bringing in cheap rough diamonds from the lower leagues/scotland, hopefully upping his success rate providing us with a steady stream of Roger Johnsons, Chris Burkes and Ross McCormacks. I'd then put a cheap, young, enthusiastic manager in place, possibly give Kennedy or Scimeca a go. They both seem to talk a lot of sense when I've heard them speak about the sides performances. Hopefully they would bring some new ideas to the table.

With all the changes that could take place this summer it may be good to have a little continuity.

If he plays feeney? Yes is it?

I seriously think your friendship with feeney is clouding your view of the team. I think in years to come you'll be thinking we had a good squad those 5 years and punched well above our weight. Yes we pay big wages but I think that's down to our location in the main. DJ has done a good job but did f**k up lastyear

I think if we get to the play offs and fail he sould stay. Getting to the play offs is an improvement from the past 5 seasons. And if we do get the play offs and fail hopefully he and his team can learn from their mistakes. This however i doubt.

Annis, I think who the manager of our team is, is the least of our worries at the moment, there may not even be a team there to mange come May.
