As those in charge now would basically use it as an example of the GOOD job they're doing rather than the f*cking AWFUL job they are doing.
So all these people saying "Join up and vote/change it" are not talking sense.
I would not join a political party I don't like just so I can vote what their policies are.
The Trust is ROTTEN and has FUCKED UP so much it needs a complete overhaul.
Endorsing them now will just cement the policies of ACTING AS THE BOARDS TROJAN HORSE WITH FANS.
THEY ARE A JOKE AND I DON'T FIND IT FUNNY AND DON'T WANT TO JOIN IN WITH IT.
OVERHAUL, BECOME MORE PROACTIVE, DO WHAT SUPPORTERS WANT AND YOU'LL SEE A MASSIVE GROWTH IN MEMBERSHIP.

The best way to overhaul it is from inside, if the people in position at present don't represent the views of the masses so to speak, then you must be able to replace those people, if they however wish to change the direction they are taking then great, job done, but either way it will be impossible to please everyone, and if the masses don't organise themselves, how do the elected members know what the majority want.
Just because a good few vociferous people come on message boards to voice their disapproval, that may not represent the majority feelings. We can't have it all ways.

No but knowing the smart arse and snide way they deal with any differing viewpoints, then any surge in membership will be used as a way of saying what a GOOD job they're doing and you know it.
They will probably campaign on it.

Dan it is so blindingly obvious, yet they stubbornly dig in. The argument that you can stand against the board come April is totally flawed as by the time the new board takes up office the club will be hours away from liquidation.
We have to act NOW, not at the end of April. I plead to the Trust Board to consult with your membership NOW and act on the response and not any brianwashing Ridsdale might have put in your head.

Agreed. If youn want to change the trust then join it and vote for the commmittee you want. Ifthe majority of the members disagree with your view and don't want to change that is democracy

Elwood, when the Trust make a statement on behalf of "thousands of fans" which they clearly don't - and have no mandate to do so - what then?
The "change from inside" mantra only works if you believe in the concept of a Trust. I'm honest - I don't. Some of what has happened with regards to the Trust I saw coming a long time ago.
The fact remains, any voting for committee members remains somewhat of a personality contest. If Corky ( and no slight on Corky, just an example before anyone claims "sniping" ), stood for election on a platform of changing our name to Swansea, wearing white, he'd probably win.
Why? Because it's Corky. Also because the number of members within the Trust being so small, any elections are going to be more prone to such voting.
The argument for changing from within also fails because the time for any meaningful action is NOW. Elections within two months - well, club could be dead within 2 months for all we know! And even then, should people with a more action oriented approach get elected, action isn't suddenly going to be mobilised within a day!
