I think Ridsdale paid around 11p a share for his shares, so if this 9p offer is accurate he will have made a loss on the shares I think.It won't be taxable, as he will have made a loss so theoretically he could offset it against his personal tax.
Actually having said that, it's alleged he 'bought' shares from WH Sports in his own name for a small amount - so in that case I would have thought he paid a lot less than 9p and may well have to be taxed
