next manager

if we don't reach the play-offs and it looks increasing likely that we won't, i think it will be time for dj to go and bring in a new manager a on much lower wage than dj, who would you want to be the new boss, i think gus poyet would be a good candidate who does everyone else think should be the new manager.

Ian holloway, he is doing wonders at Blackpool.

Dunno but if as suggested the Malaysians are imminently coming into the club in a big way. They will want their own man as manager for next season thats for sure, no matter what division we are in. I would suggest if that search hasn't begun already then soundings will be made pretty quickly. We will need the right man in place early so as to give him time to do his stuff in the close season.

i agree nobby holloway would be good, he'd also have a good relationship with the fans something dj has never had

I would prefer him to DJ anyday, only downfall is he is a wurzel apart from that the guy is a good manager and mad as a hatter, his book is a good read to. :ayatollah:

Dean Holdsworth- Young(ish!) and has done wonders at Newput. He'll come cheap and would jump at the chance. Would also piss off the County lot.

i think regardless of what happens a change is for the best.
jones and ridsdale have been a double act as far as im concerned and if the club is to make a fresh start we need to be rid of them both
the stats for the whole of jones career when any of his teams go one down is ample proof of his limitations.
as with rafa at liverpool a cup final has painted over the cracks

Totally agree with that Steve, we are a mid table mediocre side at best with Jones in charge, he has no plan B and his record from coming back from a goal down is appaling, the Riddler and Jones are like chalk and cheese, holidays together, highest paid manager and a robbing Chairman. We need a change throughout the hierachy. :ayatollah:

Its a huge step up.....if we were league 2 i might say yeah.

Has Kavanagh got his coaching badge?

Him and Legg?

BTW, I admit im a dj fan but we cant afford him.......... time for a change at end of season.

Kav has his badges and is currently getting some coaching time while playing at Carlisle. I'd be happy with Kav tbh, I'm not too concerned about his lack of experience. He was a model pro, will have the players respect and knows what this club is all about. Same goes for Legg however Kav's passion would seal the no1 post for me.

We can forget about the Curbishlys, Hollaways, Sparky etc as they will not come cheap. We'll be looking for a cheaper option but someone with passion and eagerness to show what they can do.
