Serious Question

Mon Mar 15, 2010 8:55 pm

Ok So the Malaysians bring in 6 mill to buy shares with enough left over to pay the tax bill.
So What about the rest of the mess
1.2 a monthe wages
7.5 mill PMG
10 mill Sam at the end of the year
500k Shine
250k Cowlin (just seen on the other board)
Plus all the Sensitive stuff lurking in the shadows

With no real income to count on, what is their plan ? without stumping up another 20 mill to clear the decks unless a mass sale of players to cut debt is the plan and then rebuild within a sensible budget.

Possibly negotiate settlements with creditors at a disccount. Use whatever financial clout they have to clear the decks on advantageous terms.

Something doesnt add up here. They could get it for peanuts if we went into admin.

They would have to spend more to build us back up as a competitive championship team if we went into admin and lost our better players.

Is it not possible they're just taking a punt on the team getting to the Prem this season?

They may just pay the bills that will get the club to the end of the season and if there's no promotion, pull the plug. If there is promotion, they're quids in.

Creditors may prefer to negotiate now - greater certainty and earlier payment.

1. Wages, there will certainly be a shortfall, but dont forget there is still income coming into the club. They only have to cover a few months and then they can make cuts.

2. PMG. They dont have to pay them off all at once, but may do a deal.

3. Sam, ditto for PMG

Shine, Cowlin, Vale ... all the others. again could do a deal to pay some now and more later. These are the samller debtors compared to the other ones though.

You are right in a way though, its going to tak a lot more than £6m to sort everything out.

They could well be buying a 1st div club, or one half way there if they did.

Points deducted, players leaving for a fraction of their value.

And MAYBE they dont think its an honourable thing to do ?

Finally, there is no guarantee they will get it if it goes into admin. It would be down to best bids, and that may not necessarily be that cheap.
