A forum for all things Cardiff City

I went down to watch last night with some County mates and whilst I enjoyed watching them finally get over a hurdle on hopeful way back to league football, it actually got me thinking about all the things I like and miss in football...
Players actually wearing 1-11,
Players actually playing with some passion for their team and fans,
Gritty football and footballers,
£2 for a half litre bottle of Carling,
Fans actually getting behind their team instead of constantly moaning or shouting abuse,
Home and away fans without segregation,
Being made welcome even though I was known as 'The one from Cardiff!!',
Only paying £8 to watch a football match,
Being able to walk the whole way around a football ground,
and the main one...being able to stand!
Good luck to them next season!

I went last night and it was quite eery that with 5 minutes left, about 1500 people left ther positions, hopped over the fence and stood on the touchline with play continuing. Then a good, old fashioned pitch invasion.
It can only be good for Wesh football whether you like them or not.

I like Newport County. I know a good few people there, have had a great game with them on Football Manager, I like Dean Holdsworth and they're like our cheeky little brother. They'll irritate the f**k out of us but when all is said and done they're a lot like us and I want them to do well.

Yeh I did have a chuckle to myself watching that (I was behind the goals the 'nets' end) and seeing them all lining up along the touchline with all of 3 stewards stopping them must of the made the ref blow up a little earlier!!!

I had the last laugh...went as Lincoln and beat them twice in the league and got promoted whilst taking their best striker with me!
