Only benefit I can see is... He would have negotiated a better contract for himself, plus Blackpool is a bit of a dump to live in!

That's an odd move, maybe he has done as much as he can at Blackpool? He can leave there with his head held high I suppose...

hes starting to lose it as a manager imo, used to really like him.

I believe he still lives mainly in Bristol and a move to Palace would be easier on him. Straight on the train to London.
But TBF he is a quality manager who got Blackpool to the big time and are still a very good team.

Think Craig is right. I like the guy for what he's achieved and the way that he did it. But over the last 2 seasons he appears to be losing it. I don't think he's recovered from the immediate relegation - he's exhibiting the signs of someone under stress. Personally can see him quitting the game in the next couple of seasons or taking a break.
All these management shifts are good for us though. Its unsettling for teams who have an inbound or outbound manager. 4-4-2 and 3 points today please boys.

Blackpool will drop like a stone from here on

i never said that I said he still lives mainly in Bristol

thats a shocker he said he would never move them. Because of his Daughters condition they were being taught in a specialised school. Or maybe they have grown up now.
But yeah a bit strange if he has only just moved or did they rent out ?

Says in the Mail that his 3 daughters, who are all deaf, live in London and I believe one is just about to have a baby, so he wants to be nearer them

That is a good enough reason in its self.

Probably an indication that Palace may be expecting substantial funds from the sale of Wilfred Zaha in the
January window.

I wonder if Blackpool might go after Paul Ince to replace Holloway

Personal reasons. Palace do offer a good finsh this season aswell in fairness.

TAKE 2 - Blackpool look like they may now turn to Ince as their next manager -
Paul Ince set to link up with son at Blackpool
Blackpool were thought to be closing in on the appointment of Paul Ince as manager.
The club are seeking to fill the vacancy created by Michael Appleton's departure to Blackburn last month. Steve Thompson is currently in caretaker charge at Bloomfield Road, but the club want to bring in a new manager as soon as possible.
They have been linked with a series of candidates but Ince, the former Macclesfield, MK Dons, Blackburn and Notts County manager, is the favourite. If Ince takes charge it will see him working with his son Tom, the Blackpool winger.
