I actually think it was the squad following the play off final. That squad with a decent manager would have pissed the playoffs. Unfortunately Lennie was tactically naive, a puppet for Sam and had no respect from the players who openly took the piss out of him (remember all the Mr Burns stuff).
Earnie is the best goal scorer at champ level
Thorne in his prime was top quality.
Gabbs, Collins, Vidmar were all top notch defenders
Kavanagh was immense
Alexander was best shot stopper-let himself down with box command
We also had players like John Robinson, Alan Lee, Leggy,Margetson, Bolland etc

I loved the 92/93 team.
Best moment of that season was in last game when Perry scored a diving header.
That team wasnt the best in terms of talent but they all gave 110%.
Dale, Stant, Pike, Griffith-we scored goals for fun then.

The 1993 squad is definatley up there as is the 1999 with Delaney, Bowen etc.
I still think the 2008 FA Cup Final squad was good if you ignore the strike force. Certainly in my time we have never had better centre-backs than Loovens/Johnson.
But this season squads must take some pludits. After all the goings on off the field our small squad which has been ravaged by crippling injuries and plugged with several acadmey graduates has got us into an amazing 6th position.
That's no mean feat.
