' UPDATES ON WHO ARE LINKED TO CARDIFF CITY & LEAVING "

It is the second completed Cardiff deal in two days following a quiet start to the transfer window, with Greg Cunningham joining from Preston North End for a fee starting at £3.5million, plus add-ons taking it to the £4million mark.
The 27-year-old left-back joins the Club from Preston North End and has agreed a deal at Cardiff City Stadium until summer 2021.
Cunningham began his professional career with Manchester City and is a full Republic of Ireland international. He is our second new signing of the summer, following Josh Murphy’s move from Norwich City.
12/06/18
Cardiff City are set to make it a double transfer swoop by landing highly-rated Preston left-back Greg Cunningham in a deal approaching £4million.
The capture of the Preston player Neil Warnock rates as amongst the finest full-backs in the Championship will follow hot on the heels of Cardiff's £11m swoop for Norwich winger Josh Murphy.
Three further Bluebirds signings should also happen quickly, one further permanent deal and two on loan for the entire 2018-19 campaign. There is also the prospect of a third loan signing, which would take the total number of newcomers this summer to six.
Warnock was always targeting a classy winger, new full-back, plus two midfield men and a back up striker to Kenneth Zohore as he plans Cardiff's Premier League campaign.
We understand talks over Cunningham are well advanced and it is a matter of dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
The move is win-win for Cardiff, Preston and the player himself, who at 27 gets the chance to shine in the Premier League.
Josh Murphy Officially Signed

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock is to make Josh Murphy his first signing of the summer after agreeing a £10.5million deal with Norwich City.
Murphy, 23-year-old brother of Newcastle's Jacob, will have a medical on Tuesday ahead of signing a five year contract.
Fulham and Brighton had also enquired about Murphy.
Last season Murphy, a former England youth international, scored seven goals in the Championship, while he was the joint-top scorer in the EFL Cup with four goals along with Samu Saiz of Leeds and Islam Slimani of Leicester.
Murphy progressed through the ranks at Norwich's academy and is set to leave the club having made over 100 first-team appearances, while he also gained experience during loan spells at Wigan Athletic and MK Dons.

UPDATED
Cardiff City look likely to make Norwich’s Josh Murphy their first signing of the summer amid suggestions an £11m deal is imminent.
The Bluebirds are interested in the 23-year-old winger, with talks believed to have been held with the player in recent days.
There are even suggestions he is currently in Cardiff undergoing a medical, although we understand it’s unlikely there will be any definitive news today.
He will, however, become Cardiff’s most expensive signing since they spent £11m on Gary Medel in 2013.
The Eastern Daily Press report that Murphy was believed to be in the Welsh capital overnight on Sunday.
Murphy scored 11 goals for Norwich last season, and made it into the EFL’s Carabao Cup team of the season.
Josh Murphy Norwich City
The 23-year-old, who came through the Canaries' academy, saw his twin brother, Jacob Murphy, make the move from Norwich to the Premier League last summer when he joined Newcastle United in a deal worth around £12million and Josh is expected to follow suit sooner rather than later.
Premier League new boys,Cardiff City are currently the bookies favourite to sign Murphy and his agent has been in contact with Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock.
Cardiff City are 1/5 to sign Murphy.

HITC Sport understands Cardiff City are lining up move for TNS defender Rob Pryce, who impressed at Jamie Vardy's V9 academy.
Premier League new boys Cardiff City are planning an offer for The New Saints defender Rob Pryce to fend off interest from other clubs. Pryce caught the eye at this week's V9 academy - run by Leicester City and England striker Jamie Vardy - a person familiar with the situation told HITC.
Pryce was invited to attend the V9 academy this week as Vardy looks to give non-league players the chance to break into league football.
Right-back Pryce has impressed at Welsh side TNS since breaking into the first-team in 2015 and he won himself a trial at Middlesbrough last year.
The attacking defender is highly-regarded at TNS and scouts from clubs higher up the football pyramid have been keeping tabs on his progress for some time. Pryce has been a stand-out performer during the V9 academy trials and a number of Premier League sides have now been alerted to his potential.
Cardiff manager Neil Warnock celebrates after the Sky Bet Championship match between Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest at Cardiff City Stadium on April 21, 2018 in Cardiff, Wales.
Cardiff City, however, are determined to steal a march on their rivals by tabling an offer for Pryce as they look to bring the former Shrewsbury youngster to the Welsh capital for next season.
TNS are resigned to losing Pryce and are unlikely to stand in his way if Cardiff or another of his suitors makes an offer for his services.

Cardiff City are reportedly back in for Preston North End full-back Greg Cunningham, but look set to cool their interest in James McClean, according to BBC Sport.
Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock has been a big admirer of Cunningham for some time, and even tried to sign him last season, only to see an alleged bid of around £2 million knocked back by the Lilywhites.
Bookies claim Bluebirds are in the mix for Gareth Barry, but move for Andre Gray looks unlikely -
Cardiff City are in the running to sign West Bromwich Albion veteran Gareth Barry, according to the bookies.
BetVictor have priced the Bluebirds at 4/1 to land the midfielder, just behind Barry's former club Aston Villa at 7/2.
Cardiff City are targeting Preston North End's Republic of Ireland defender Greg Cunningham
Manager Neil Warnock tried to sign Cunningham in 2017-18 and is set to make a fresh move for the 27-year-old.
Cunningham would be Warnock's first signing since promotion to the Premier League.
However he looks set to be thwarted in an attempt to sign James McClean from West Bromwich Albion.
Cardiff had a bid for Cunningham rejected last August.

' Cardiff £4mill bid for Luke Ayling? ? '
5th June 2018
There’s been a few players linked with Cardiff City in the past few days, notably a few in the same position.
The link with Sunderland central midfielder Didier Ndong isn’t going away, despite apparent interest from Italian side Torino, while it seems Liverpool are willing to let Marko Grujic leave on loan again with Cardiff likely to be keen. Also in that position is Turkish midfielder Torgay Arslan, who has been linked with a £7million switch from Besiktas.
In other positions, West Ham wide man Robert Snodgrass is one of Neil Warnock’s top targets this summer after working with him at Leeds United.
And despite joking about signing wantaway Everton forward Oumar Niasse, Warnock could be serious about making a bid with reports linking the former Hull striker with the Bluebirds.
Stoke manager Gary Rowett wants to sign £12m Wolves' Benik Afobe and James McClean over Cardiff (Daily Telegraph)
According to westhamfans.org it’s a done deal for Snodgrass to join Cardiff City
4th June 2018
Cardiff will make a move for Snodgrass in the coming weeks — preferably on loan — but West Ham may want to keep the Scottish international. He is valued at around £12million if the Bluebirds want a permanent deal.
Oumar Niasse?
While doing some radio work last week Neil Warnock joked that he would take Everton striker Oumar Niasse to Cardiff City, for the right price of course.
And the Bluebirds are reportedly in the mix for the forward, with The Sun reporting that Cardiff manager Warnock wants Niasse on a season-long loan deal for the 2018-19 season.
He may also be available for a cut price permanent deal.
Tolgay Arslan
Tolgay Arslan is possibly a name Cardiff City fans didn’t expect their side to be linked with, but Turkish media are saying the Besiktas midfielder is on the Bluebirdfs’ radar ahead of a £7million bid.
The 27-year-old, who plays in the centre of midfield, is likely to be a familiar name to some in English football, having played a crucial part in helping Besiktas knock out Liverpool in the Europa League back in 2014/15.
Arslan would surely be seen as something of a marquee signing for the Bluebirds, having made six appearances in the Champions League for Besiktas last term.
The chase for Didier Ndong could well be set to continue, despite the player previously looking destined for a move to Serie A.
According to Gabonese outlet iSport , Cardiff have bettered Torino's offer of £6.6 million, adding that the player himself would prefer to stay in the Premier League.
The contract situations of Aron Gunnarsson and Junior Hoilett are still to be resolved

Cardiff City target West Ham midfielder
Posted by Sean Whetstone on June 2, 2018 in News
Cardiff City have reportedly made Hammer Robert Snodgrass one of their top transfer targets claims Wales Online. Neil Warnock wants a wide man with proven Premier League experience this summer, and in Snodgrass the veteran boss has identified a player he admires and has worked with before.
The Welsh Media say they understand that Cardiff will make a move for Snodgrass in the coming weeks — preferably on loan — but West Ham may want to keep the Scottish international.

So it won't be Cardiff City
Sunderland midfielder Didier N’Dong is close to completing a £6.6m move to Torino, according to Sky sources.
The club’s record transfer (£13.6m in 2016) has been on loan at Watford since January and has made it clear he doesn’t want to stay on Wearside.
Sunderland are in advanced negotiations with Torino, however, SSN understands fellow Italians Atalanta and French club Amiens are also keen on the Gabon international.
Neil Warnock has already trimmed the fat from his squad and the return of several loanees — Yanic Wildschut, Jamie Ward, Armand Traore and Liam Feeney among them — will start a further exodus of sorts on June 30.
The Bluebirds' retained list, expected to be announced next week, will likely see Greg Halford, Brian Murphy, Frederic Gounongbe and Ibrahim Meite depart upon the expiry of their contracts.
Other players tipped to join Cardiff
Two interesting ones here... SkyBet have Cardiff City as potential suitors for both Leicester centre back Robert Huth and West Ham wide man Michail Antonio.
Huth is 6/1 to join the Bluebirds, with Antonio a long shot at 25/1.
There's still no word yet on the situation around the contracts of Aron Gunnarsson and Junior Hoilett, both of whom will surely have been identified as potentially key players in Cardiff's bid to stay in the Premier League next season.

Dider Ndong?
The link between Cardiff City and Dider Ndong doesn’t seem to be going away, with more reports in African media making the Bluebirds favourites to land the Sunderland midfielder.
£20million for Andre Gray
Cardiff City might have been made favourites to land Andre Gray but the indication is that the Watford frontman would cost a pretty penny.
He has failed to make impact at Vicarage Road but after arriving for £18.5m from Burnley, the Hornets will want to recoup that investment.

Neil Warnock, accepts his budget will be limited this summer, but has been satisfied with the talks and owner Tan is understood to be happy with the Yorkshireman's planned recruitment.
Vincent Tan has talked through the budget he has offered Warnock and it is believed Warnock has accepted that the budget for the Premier League won't be as big as many would of thought and is one of the lowest for Premier League Clubs, but Warnock is ready to work with it knowing a number of players will also need to leave City to make way if Warnock wants more than the budget provides.
The Cardiff boss wants five or six players to supplement his current squad and is set to once again utilise the loan and free transfer market. The likes of Salomon Rondon — linked with the Bluebirds in media reports — could be out of reach because of budget restraints.
Cardiff City are said to be in talks with winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing over a new contract.
The Bluebirds have opened up negotiations with Mendez-Laing to improve his terms and extend his current deal, according to HITC.
Mendez-Laing was one of Neil Warnock’s gambles last summer, signing on a free after taking significant steps to get his career back on track with Rochdale.
Cardiff City are reportedly leading the chase for Sunderland's Didier Ndong this summer, despite apparent interest from French giants Lyon.
The midfielder is destined to leave the Stadium of Light before the start of the season following Sunderland's relegation to League One, and reports in Gabon suggest he is being lined up for a move to South Wales.
29/05/18
According to Sky Bet, James McClean is 8/1 to join Cardiff while Salomon Rondon heading to join Warnock's men is 5/1.
29/05/2018
Lee Tomlin to depart?
It looks increasingly likely that Lee Tomlin will spend the 2018/19 season away from Cardiff City, with talks ongoing for either a loan or permanent switch to Nottingham Forest.
The mercurial No.10 is perhaps a better fit in Aitor Karanka’s City Ground team, but do the Bluebirds need to find someone else in that position?
Cardiff City 'want to keep' Bryson / But Bryson is keen to see what Derby offer him
Respected journalist Alan Nixon is claiming that the Bluebirds are keen on retaining the services of on-loan midfielder Craig Bryson — although the situation could depend on who takes over at Derby County following Gary Rowett’s departure.
Watch this space. We know Neil Warnock is a big Bryson fan.
Cardiff. Want to keep Bryson. But he is keen to see what happens at Derby before turning loan into a permanent.
It should be an interesting summer for Cardiff City and their supporters as Warnock targets a whole host of transfer targets.
A striker and central midfielder appear to be priorities for Warnock, though the Yorkshireman has said he wants "five or six" signings to supplement his promotion winning side.
