To be fair he stabilised us. But could he do it in the prem? Never say never.

Remember Paul Trollope? Good coach and assistant but not a number 1. Completely different job going from a coach or assistant to manager.

Similar to Warnock he's done a superb job of overachieving at Sheffield United with a small budget and getting the best out of average players and his teams play with high energy and always give 100%. Think he would be perfect for us. I would have said Dean Smith when he was at Brentford but he wont leave Villa for us.

As much as I like Mr Warnock it would be great to see us play with high skillful players.

Lot of knowledge though and also some managerial experience. It would bring continuity, perhaps bringing in Martin ONeil to gradually familiarise himself and take over in the window .
That'd work, I'm sure, but I'm also sure it wouldn't happen . I expect that Mr Tan would intend to do things differently , probably going for a big name at that stage, which might not be such a good idea as it seems.
We'd lose a massive part of the essence of the club if Sir Neil left, but I think we'd be well advised to preserve the culture he's instilled.
