3 wins Needed

Apparently no side has been relegated having won 10 games.

I think we are in a nice position.

I think it’s going to need more. It’s a worry Burnley are picking up as they looked Shyte.
I thought we didn’t press enough yesterday and seemed quite defensive we need to go away and have a go. Like at Arsenal. Some big games ahead that’s for sure

Solskjaer owes us one. He is planning on losing one against us at the end of the season ... Ok! Pigs may fly! Haha.

I pointed that out at the start, and that's exactly why I've spoken of a "cup run" mentality at this stage. It's against my ideal philosophy , but I figure that if we go at it like lunatics now in every game and refuse to give in - a bit like an amateur team playing Arsenal in the Cup, then we should pull that off at least four or five times , and that would be plenty.
Of course, it relies on a few draws to be 100%, but it's a slightly desperate strategy which I'd choose to employ in these circumstances because it really should get us quite a respectable place.

If we won five games like that and got hammered in all the rest, that'd give us 40 points.

If we scraped 4 draws as well, that would if you compare it with last season, put us tenth.

I expect fans of all the sides towards the bottom are saying the same sort of thing Jimmy, including that cup run mentality. There is a difference between those clubs and us though, they don't have the Cardiff fans or Warnock in their camp. Hopefully, that will be the decisive factor.

I think you are right, the points total needed will be 33- 35 points, that's just 8-10 point more from 12 matches. With the series of matches we face over the next month we could be very close to that figure after the West Ham match.
Yesterday was such a massive result for us, I cant argue with your statement even if we cant always agree about referees !! :occasion5:

That may be true but then in genenral teams will have had more points from draws. We’ve only had 4. So 3 wins won’t be enough unless we get 4 or 5 draws on top - unlikely. For me our only chance is 4 more wins plus the odd draw :ayatollah:

We played 2 up front, scored 2 goals and restricted them to hardly any shots, we played the perfect game, like the MOTD pundits said. What you expect us to go away and win 4-0 isit? Southampton are no mugs was a great performance from the mighty blues.

Think we need a minimum of 38 points now If you asked me 10 games ago I would have said 35 but with so many clubs in the mix I don’t see 3 wins being enough
We need Huddersfield to take some points off our relegation rivals and for us to beat them if it will be below the 38 points

3 wins from our remaining matches would see us relegated. I suspect we require 4 wins and 2 draws to be safe

I know this might be a bit optimistic but target 5 more wins and we hit the 40pts mark which is usually the target of every club to avoid relegation. Will we win that many maybe not it might be 3 or 4 wins with a few draws but 5 wins and I reckon we've done it :ayatollah:
