When's the best time to play Brighton?

Postby luxy1970 » Mon Mar 11, 2019 4:02 pm

Presuming it has to be a midweek in April or even the 7th of May, when would people prefer to play it? Get it done early or potentially turn it into a must-win game later?

Whatever we choose it should be when it suits us, not dictated to by brighton or the premier league, who did nothing for us when we asked for a transfer extension after the sala affair.

It might have been better if they played the cup game in the week and stuck to the normal sat for our game.

I don't think we have any say. It has actually done us a bit of a favour. The game not being played on Saturday rules out any possibility of Arter getting a ban for reaching 10 bookings. Currently on 8 and it runs out on the weekend of the Chelsea game.

EPPING BLUE

it does stop our flow again though like the break after southampton game where we had a bit more confidence going into a game, and after this win against west ham our confidence would have been up for brighton, but i am a great beliver in what wil be will be and let it flow, things happen for a reason.

I'drather leave it till the last 2 weeks of the season.
We would then have a run of winnable fixtures possibly against teams with nothing to play for as I think Brighton and Palace will be safe by then and Fulham relegated.
Could work out well for us

The break should do us good

We have a lot of niggly injuries amongst important players.

Camarasa and Bennett especially

It historically under Warnock never has as it spoils momentum and gives him to much time to think about tinkering rather than sticking with a winning formula.

Agree, only if neil has them in regular for training, although Manga and gunnerson have 4 days off,due to internationals, the rest must be kept on their toes, last break killed our momentum, with players doing their own things, instead of warm weather training camp.but injury wise,it could be a blessing in disguise,we need a full squad for the run in :old: :bluebird: :ayatollah:
