I was skeptical of giggs, but

You don't get time in International level, simply because of how long it takes to play the matches.

He has had 11 games in charge now. I'm sorry but I've not seen enough. He has to go. Clearly doesn't know what he's doing.

We played awful on Saturday, and now today we're playing hoof ball with Ashley Williams? I actually thought Williams wasn't too bad today, but you can't blame Williams when it's Giggs' tactics. We haven't got an identity, it's like we've just chucked a bunch of youngsters in and said "see what you can do". They need guidance ffs.

Honestly I know if this was club management I would automatically say 2 transfer windows 100%. But 11 games in International level, which has been a Year and 3 months!

Honestly, can we just quit while we're behind. Get someone new in, and our next game is not a guarenteed win, but it's a soft introduction for the potential new manager. Honestly guys Giggs isn't for us.

Bale done to Giggs last game what Giggs did for years to Wales fans,he didn’t want to play for him at all.
Giggs was a bad choice,he split opinions even before a game was played

Re: I was skeptical of giggs, but

None of them look like they know what they're doing and have no identity whatsoever.

Re: I was skeptical of giggs, but

We are going backwards at a considerable pace, the whole team played without very much any idea.
Lawrence should be no where near the first choice centre half when we have mepham.
Move him on quickly and a new manager to take over asap.
Giggs looks like ole , totally clueless.

Making 5 changes from the last game showed he fit up with selections, he should of made more changes imo, he doesn’t know his best starting 11, qualification is now over imo give him to the end and get rid of there’s no improvement. Let him ply his trade in league 2 not international level.

making 5 changes proved he fd it up but should have made more...?

thought he got it wrong Saturday but would have won last night had Bale scored or even Bale just have a half decent game...dont really see how you can plan on that..?

I think he is out of his depth, but in fairness, we are in decline, Bale and Allen are fading fast, no Ramsey who was a big loss, the keepers rubbish, and apart from Brookes there is not much coming through to add value.

For international Management an old experienced Manager is usually the best option, it's certainly no job for a Management apprentice learning his trade!

Telling for me was around the 70 minute mark, the camera panned to giggs and he looked deflated, out of ideas. Now if your manager is like that what message does it give the players.

You’re all one-eyed. Had the chances to win, didn’t take em..

Young players need time at that level.

Young players? Only young player was Ampadu aged 18, Hungary had an 18 year old too.

Hardly a team of kids last night stop making excuses.

Hennessey 32
Williams 34
Allen 29
James Lawrence 26
Tom Lawrence 25
Bale 29
Davies 26
Brookes 21
James 21
Gunter 29

In terms of caps, they’re a bunch of pups.

Our combined total of caps last night far outweighs Hungary's.

Even Brooks is on double figures now.

Not forgetting Hungary had an 18year old up front and 2 players aged 22.

It's simply not an excuse.

Ok, forget the age and caps.

The players aren’t good enough.

Absolutely clueless. Trading on his reputation as a player, should never even have been considered fit the National managers job! Needs to go now before he causes any more damage!

Re: I was skeptical of giggs, but

Thu Jun 13, 2019 2:48 pm

Win next two games then what will you be saying? Talk of being premature! And as for older manager he will have same problems as Giggs trying to organise and change style play with little time to do it in? Plus not having Ramsey and half fit players and a out form bale would still be there for him to get past...

trading on his reputation as a player. along with having the required qualifications and being assistant manager at Manchester United for a couple of seasons...
its not a fantastic CV but it is compared to the other realistic candidates..

Being a big name player having played under a top manager does not always guarantee that you are going to be a good manager yourself. Plenty of big names have gone into management and failed. Not sure if being a manager of an international team is the best way to learn your trade, but probably too early to predict how good he will become with experience. Your opinion of him may well turn out to be accurate, but given time, he might turn things around.

from a FAW point with a very limited budget who exactly do you get ?
if your doing a very good job in lge1 a championship club will want you .
if your doing a good job at a higher level { championship or prem } your earning more than the FAW pay..

so your left with serial failures who have not worked in some time ...Coleman

or ex players who have both the correct qualifications and coaching but not manager experience.. Giggs

yes it would be nice to have a manager who has 10 years prem experience plus a few jaunts into Europe under his belt but that's 3 mill a year we don't have..

its not so much I have loads of faith in Giggs..its just people are talking as if we had huge choices...we don't , never have.

Agree with you, the only goal Giggs knows how to score is an own goal with his brothers wife.

To early to say some not good enough but it's a better reason for failing to win than heaping all the fault on Giggs? People should know by now faw financial status when it comes to managers? To get a decent manager away from club football costs more than faw could afford! Plus need to have someone available to take job so those wanting Giggs out need to realise it's not like club football where can bribe them with money and money for signing players international managers gave to make fo with what they got and take wages on offer
