Not really the case though.

During the commemoration of the D-Day landings Corbyn was in Portsmouth at a Rememberance Service.

I'm all for highlighting what is disliked about party leaders but to lie about the timing of such a demonstration is what is wrong with the world today with it's fake news.

The propaganda on both sides nowadays is despairing.

What a load of jingoistic bollocks. Funny how people on here love to go on about free speech but then spew stuff like this out.

Factually incorrect. Corbyn was down in Portsmouth with May and the rest of the World leaders.

But don't let the facts get in the way.

Said in another topic that I have an issue with Corbyn right now, as a Labour member, but these sorts of lies don't help anyone.

It is so, so scary what people factual news sources' nowadays.

People seem to take their facts at face value just because it pops up in their timeline.

Corroborate all the way before you post.

it will continue until people question things..
in this case it really wasn't that difficult to check before posting. both the protest and the d day commemoration were big news..

Don't like this sort of propoganda article, and it is a one sided look at things. However, there is nothing factually incorrect in the wording of the article. Like a lot of stories on social media and in the press, written in such a way as to try to suggest something happened. It does not actually accuse Corbyn of not attending the services or paying his respects.

I suppose it's a bit like the Boris story and the amount we pay to the EU each week. He actually underestimated that amount (according to the office for nat stats), but of course neglected to say a large percentage of that is returned. As is always the case, people using statistics to back up one side of an argument, and wording things in a clever but dubious way.

Two of the most useless politicians in the U.K. and with all the self serving parasites we have in parliament that’s no small feat.

They may well be, but it doesn't alter the fact that the OP is false.

It's quite right to have an opinion of someone when you are sensible enough, like yourself, to assess the facts and make a decision.

However, this sort of twist on a story allows those that do not seek out all the facts to make a decision based on a lie.

I suppose if you still come to the right conclusion though it has done its' job.

No it doesn't but the intimation is that they were shouting their mouths off AT THE SAME TIME AS (while) others were at D-Day commemorations.

Everyone has a right to their opinion but let it be decided based on the facts not being twisted.

As I said above, clever but dubious wording. The media in general are full of misleading headlines while being careful to ensure that they are not telling blatant lies. The wording on the infamous Boris bus was misleading, but not an actual lie. Most sensible people were well aware that while the UK was making a big weekly contribution to the EU, a fair chunk of that was coming back. Equally, most sensible people knew full well that Corbyn was attending the services to honour the D Day landings. We should be aware as to how the media manipulate headlines to suit a particular agenda, and should look beyond those headlines to find the actual facts.
