SKY SPORTS MAN UNITED END BALE INTEREST

13/06/19

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is no longer one of Manchester Utd’s transfer targets this summer despite speculation linking the Welshman with a move to Old Trafford.

While Bale has remained on United's radar ever since they attempted to sign him as a youngster, both his age and the salary he commands mean he doesn’t fit the profile the club are looking for.

The signing of Swansea’s Daniel James is symptomatic of a change in strategy at United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bring in the best young British talent in the coming weeks.

United are still keen to sign Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan Bissakaand have also earmarked Harry Maguire as one of their top targets.

It’s thought Bale earns more than £500,000 a week at Real, adding another financial hurdle to a deal United have no interest in pursuing.

Either he takes a paycut and gets regular football or he sits on the bench or in the reserves at RM with no game time and becomes a liability for Wales

how much of a paycut..? its such a huge wage and RM invested so much in the transfer fee its very difficult to weigh it up..
2 stand out performances for Wales might have helped things move along...but they are gone..

He needs to look at dropping to around £350-£400k I would say if he wants 1st team football or for ANY club to start looking seriously at him to offer him a lifeline, think at the moment the only clubs that could match his wages are Juve and PSG.... can’t see him going to Juve though when they’ve just signed Rambo on high wages, have Ronaldo on high wages and need to move the likes of Dybala out as they’re after Pogba.

its a bit of a soup mate , Real did themselves no favours playing himas little as they did { youd think they would want him playing and scoring if only to shift him on ? } and then his performances for Wales were nowhere near his best...anyone semi interested must be wondering if he is just low on confidence or it be something else...
him sat on their bench does him, Real or ourselves any favours..

I believe a loan deal is the best for both parties, but who knows.
