‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 5:34 pm

A week ago I stated these 4 games are all winnable and we should expect to beat all 4 teams

Friday 31st January Reading H
Sat 8th Feb Luton Town A
Wed 12th Feb Huddersfield Town A
Sat 15th Feb Wigan Athletic H

We should and realistically be in the play offs .

I personally will be disappointed if we are not looking to win all 4 games .

On paper we have a better squad and with only 2 defeats in our last 16 games the team and Neil Harris will feel the same.

Could be 12 points, certainly possible. I never really expect us to beat any team in this league, we have been here long enough to know that it doesn't work out the way that we think it should in this league. To be honest, I thought we would do well to get a point last night, feels like a two point bonus to me. Wouldn't be surprised if these teams are targeting us, and thinking to themselves that they can get something from their games against Cardiff. Nine points from these games would see us moving up, and would probably get us closer to the play off places.

Re: ‘ There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 5:45 pm

As I posted elsewhere we do indeed win these 4

Re: ‘ There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 5:48 pm

I think we will win 3 of them ,huddersfield we will lose or draw

Re: ‘ There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 5:56 pm

Can't see us losing a game now. Crown us now

Re: ‘ There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:00 pm

8 points I reckon

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:19 pm

I am sorry Annis...I don t see t unless we see 3-4 players to come in....WBA were poor last night...Wigan Luton and Huddersfield won last night...we will conceed goals... and if Wickham comes in and Harris is saying one other unless its a creative midfield player we won t create enough chances for Wickham... i am woeful that it will be a full back and the midfield will not be addressed. We cannot rely on set pieces to get us in the playoffs.
I just dont see us winning 5 games on the trot.
This side is like the French Rugby team...you never know which team will turn up!!

It’s the type of run we need to go on.

And it’s the type of run that might change my mind about the manager.

I’m not getting too excited about beating an out of form West Brom. The second half was a much better performance then we’ve seen all season so there is a bit of hope.

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:33 pm

76 points or I'm off

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:54 pm

From those 4 I can't see any more than 2 wins,we just are not good enough or consistent enough.

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:59 pm

How can anyone expect us (or any team) to win 4 games in a row in the Championship? There's no easy games in the Championship and 2 of those 4 games are away from home. Let's all be fair and realistic, shall we?

I would be delighted with 3 wins out of those 4, but 8 points wouldn't be a bad return. I do accept getting no more than 6 points from those 4 games would be a missed opportunity though.

The demands on this forum are getting ridiculous, just because not many wanted Neil Harris as manager. I expect if we fail to win these 4 games, this thread will be bumped saying Neil Harris has "failed" to suit the anti Harris agendas, it's absolutely pathetic!

I understand everyone has their opinions, but I think it would be helpful for everyone to be fair, realistic and try actually SUPPORTING our manager! That might actually help us pick up some more results!

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Under Warnock for those 4 games we amassed the grand total of 3 points

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:17 pm

Very do able but as we all know the championships one hard league to predict.

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:20 pm

I predict a 5 point haul... 1 win two draws and loss.

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:23 pm

Don’t like posts like these to be honest as your setting everyone up for a fall if we don’t get the twelve points you are demanding.

This would mean we would win five games on the bounce - do you honestly see that happening when everyone keeps posting how shit the players are, the manager is so is unlikely to happen.

Take each game as it comes and build on each result

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:32 pm

12 points must be the target but we’re in the most competitive league in the world, plus like posted further up, we can be very unpredictable.

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:40 pm

Get real boys has anyone in this league won 5 on the trot bearing on mind we are 12th in the table

I'd be happy with winning at home and drawing away. I think 8 points would be a good return.

Sensible post. Setting unrealistic expectations is just setting ourselves up for disappointment (we get enough of that as it is).

I think 7-8 points would be a realistic aim here taking into account our away form.

Agreed, but as this division has proved, year on year,no team can get complacent.what's the gap now between 2nd and 3rd place? 2 pts,and only 3 pts from 3rd to top  a few weeks back,we were all saying how the top 2 places were sewn up :? Forest have crept up ,like a silent assassin on the top 2 :laughing6: in reality we have taken points off all 3 of them.strange as it may be,we could well make the play offs (I f@cking hate them, makes my ticker do overtime :laughing5: ) and then it's a lottery, with the prize being back in the premier league.I don't think we currently have the team to do it,but there is always a dark horse that emerges, could we be that horse? Not impossible, but for me unlikely. Not that I wouldn't refuse it mind.but if that scenario pans out,we have some serious re building to do on this current squad of playes, will, tan loosen the purse strings, or expect to stay up there, with minimum investment?that's my fear.c'mon Harris and the boys, dish out a hefty serving of humble pie to us doubters,I'll gladly eat my share  :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :old: :bluebird:

Genuine mistake sorry got the luton town one wrong we won in the league 2-1 but lost in the cup 3-0-. no agenda to fit , was just pointing out how many points against those four teams we had at the beginning of the season so we have amassed 6points not 3 as stated

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Hopefully 4 wins but I think it’ll be 2 draws, 1 loss and 1 win. We seem to be draw specialists since Harris has taken over. Only lost twice in the league if I’m remembering correctly

Trying to find stats on which championship club has won 4 on a trot ?

Luton are fighting for relegation

I think 8 points will be excellent

Depends who we bring in this week

We can hope! I don’t think it’s so simple though. The championship is notoriously competitive and there are no easy games. Ultimately, all games are winnable and losable. Setting expectations as you have, you just set yourself up for disappointment.

Re: ‘ CCFC There are 12pts here ‘

Thu Jan 30, 2020 7:41 am

There is good reason managers will always say one game at a time.

If we do go on any form of run of winning games the play offs are still attainable. Next game is Friday. No point second guessing anything. All games winnable which we proved on Tuesday.

This is the Championship no easy games, but I posted that we now go on a good run, nine points would be great any more amazing!

Most people probably had us down to lose to WBA so we are three points better off anyway

Spot on an agenda is building and four wins out of four as expectation, is putting too much pressure on Harris
