CARDIFF V WIGAN - WEATHER WARNING

Postby Sam ReaN » Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:59 pm

On Saturday we face a Wigan side who are fighting for survival. BUT the weather forecast is not looking good and could potentially be called off as heavy rain and strong winds throughout the day on Saturday could cause travel disruptions and waterlogged pitch at the stadium. AND A lot of fans could stay away from the stadium due to the weather, so the match could be watched by a less than average attendance.

Any repeat of what we have just had and the game should be called off. I will not have a problem with that.

Neither would I If it was like what werve just had and the game was still on, I wouldn’t go but just saying that any prediction is a bit premature.

Rare for modern pitches to get waterlogged these days as the drainage is so advanced. However, the wind could be a problem and affect the game.

Will it be called off? I doubt it.
Would i prefer it to be called off and played in better conditions? Yes

Ironically, some 'Jacks' were claiming their game shouldn't have gone ahead last weekend

They might have had a point had all those claims not come until after the game...

What was the score again...? :?

Would have to be called off before Saturday morning really. Wigan will be travelling down early doors. Hopefully it goes ahead as want to keep the momentum after the last 2 wins

I agree. I reckon if it’s on at 10am Saturday, it’ll be on.

Has the makings of the BHA game under slade, Ninian stand was virtually empty but thousands below watching on the big screens.
It does look like the worst of the wind will be as the game ends, but there is an amber warning for rain for the area close by.
