Agree totally way to soft and think personally he has bottled it and not been strong enough,

Unfortunately to many people pushing the boundaries (same as in Spain) so drastic action required but has left to much room for abuse.

I hope it will curb it but don’t belive it will.

In our Lockdown here in Spain I´ve been outside my door twice in 9 days - chemist and food shop once. The wife has been out once in that time - a different food shop.

We are not allowed out to excercise at all and the highlight of our day is taking the rubbish to the communal bin on the street about 50 metres from our front door.

I think he should have gone further - and will probably have to soon

He needed to shut the construction sites and any remaining central London offices. The tube should be for essential workers only. I've just seen photos on my wife's facebook of large queues thronging McDonalds up this way. I completely despair with some of the people we've got in this country. They know the risks of spreading the disease but having burger comes before saving a life.

I thought Macdonalds stated that they were closing for the foreseeable future. Including for takeaways.

He plainly said shop as infrequently as possible.

I checked the text of his speech and listened again this morning.

This is probably the only time I will ever defend Boris on anything !! But where is what you have in Spain different to last night apart from the exercise bit ?

It isn't "lockdown" in Spain as you are also allowed to go to the Chemist and food shops as well as us.

I've got to say I do think the penny has dropped to most people now. I walked the dog around Roath Park Lake this morning for my exercise and it was deserted and those few people who were out were absolutely observing the 2 metre gaps in a very obvious way.

I think it may differ in parts of the UK and London in particular may well have more stringent measures imposed to stop the ridiculous numbers on the Tube but even in many other countries it seems accepted that certain parts will be treated differently depending on the risk. Similarly the restrictions could be turned on and off just to flatten out the peaks of the outbreak

Our parks were closed 10 days ago and all public places.

It's just about common sense, sadly even after last night a lot of the UK population still don't seem to get it which spoils it for everyone.
