In Calvia where I live (population 50,000), the local Calvia Council phoned every person over 65 (aged) in Spanish or English and checked during lockdown how they were.

And last week delivered free to all their homes face masks.

Every worker in Palma who were travelling on public transport received a free face mask,


I have to say yes weve had one of the strictest lockdowns in the world (which was correct) but also a caring local govt etc

This is how governing should be.

Well said mate.wonderful Britain living in the past. Let's quarantine our own people returning when up to 15000 have been arriving unchecked for 10 weeks from anywhere. We will be the last people to be welcome abroad. But there again all those people that voted brexit will surely happily stay in good old blighty for the next 3 years in order to rebuild our damaged economy. No all inclusive excesses being served by those swarthy European types for our own patriots who find it tough enough to waddle to the post office for their benefits never mind pick fruit

all this last country back … a bunch of countries dependent on UK tourists and on their behinds even before covid arrived and desperate the UK along with our contributions wouldn't leave the EU don't want us back to rescue their economies ...pull the other one its got bells on it..
