FULL TIME: BRENTFORD 3-1 SWANSEA CITY

BRENTFORD WIN 3-2 ON AGGREGATE

Goals from Ollie Watkins, Emiliano Marcondes and Bryan Mbeumo send Brentford to Wembley. There was a consolation goal for Swansea City through Rhian Brewster.

UPDATED

The second leg of the Championship play-off semi final between Brentford and Swansea is tonight.

The match at Griffin Park kicks off at 7.45pm and is live on Sky Sports.

Swansea hold a one-goal lead from the first leg where Andre Ayew scored the only goal of the game, after Rico Henry was sent off for Brentford - although he will be available for the hosts, after they successfully appealed the red card.

Away goals do not count in the play-offs. For example, if Brentford win 2-1 then the game will go to extra time - if the away goals rule did count, Swansea would have gone through in that scenario.

The winner will play Fulham or Cardiff City in Tuesday's final for a place in the Premier League.

Tough game. They will be fired up.

Last game at Griffin Park, looking for revenge after losing 3 in a row... feels a horrible recipe.

2-0 Brentford.

Will be another tight game I think.

Will be a delicate balance for Brentford, may struggle if they force it.

Advantage Swansea, but that Frank looked fired right up, very hard to predict but for the first time ever I agree with the tool, two nil Brentford.

3-0 Brentford so 3-1 on aggregate which is what I expected it to be before a ball was kicked.

Same as the first leg, I have absolutely no intention of watching them later.

After the game I will discuss my unbiased view of the match.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

These two sides have met on 87 previous occasions down the years, with Swansea winning 34 matches to Brentford's 31 and 22 draws.

While Swansea won the first leg of this play-off semi-final, the Bees can take heart from the fact that they have beaten Steve Cooper's side twice already this season, with an impressive 3-0 away win in October followed by a 3-1 success at Griffin Park on Boxing Day.

It won’t be unbiased mate it’ll be fact. Brentford reduced to 10 men, swansea awarded penalty and survive umpteen goal line clearances to hang on.

They just haven’t had any good luck in the past 4 games so they really are overdue some good luck.

 That’s us screwed. Very ominous.

Odd decision to commit so many forward so early in the game.

Jack's keeper should have saved that.

I would be dissapointed with that if I was a Swansea fan, went right under him

I’m still unsure why you want Brentford to win.

They would crush you in the Final.

You would have a much better chance against us.

Exactly, they crushed us twice this season already. I wasn’t expecting to score today let alone win

Just strange you would want them to win. I can only assume you don’t fancy your chances overturning the Fulham tie?

Well said. What drives a Jack to post on a Cardiff forum whilst their playing is mystifying. Must be a small man thing.

If harris is undecided and if proof was needed to go for it from the start brentford have shown the way
