How would you feel if we sign Kieffer Moore?
I think it would be a great signing ( if we are in the
championship next season)

Cardiff City 'step up pursuit of Wigan striker Kieffer Moore' after QPR and Millwall have bids accepted
Cardiff City have reportedly reignited their interest in Wigan striker Kieffer Moore.

The Bluebirds were interested in landing the Wales international back in January, but Neil Harris was knocked back after tabling two sizeable bids, the second of which was believed to be worth around £4million.

But, after Millwall and QPR had new bids of around £2.1million accepted for the forward, the Daily Mail report that Cardiff are ready to match that figure in this summer's transfer window.

Warnock will probably sign him.

Cardiff step up chase for Moore as QPR switch attentions

The Daily Mail report that Cardiff City have stepped up their chase for Wigan Athletic’s Kieffer Moore.

Cardiff are believed to be ready to match the £2.1m bids made by QPR and Millwall as they look to lure the Wales international to the capital.

Their interest could well prompt QPR to switch their attention to signing Jordan Hugill from West Ham following a successful loan.

If we have £2.1m to spend on players I'd rather not blow it on that donkey.

Another one of those "if he wasn't Welsh" would we be even considering him?

Tough one. Yes, I think he'd be a good option for us, but I want to see a Conor Chaplin type or young loan striker from the Prem to give us a different dimension.

Kieffer has been decent for Wigan and Wales, appears to have a good character profile, and is the type of striker who can improve late on in a career as he isn't based on pace, but intelligence, strength and positioning.

£2m would be an acceptable deal.

I like him. His heading ability and hold up play is as good as anything in the Championship. But that's what they said about Madine!

IF we have limited money to spend then I would rather keep the front 3 we have and strengthen midfield and full backs.

Vaulks, Ralls and Bacuna are solid but I am not sure Pack can take us to the next level.

Keep hold of Ward who is clearly popular and works hard. We gave goal threats in that side. Lets not forger that this squad has come within a whisker of a play off final. Its not like they are all rubbish. We have in recent years been a side with goals through the team. That has served us well.

If anything we probably need back up for Tomlin who is fantastic but is going to be targeted more and more.

Harris tried to sign him twice for Millwall so he must rate him which is what counts really.

Hes a decent player in the right set up

Would he score 15/20 a season in this league for us ? Probably not

Would be no different to Glatzel as he would be isolated in no man's land and never in a position to score

Keep looking !

Preston do want Wigan Athletic striker Kieffer Moore – but he has his heart set on joining Cardiff City.

It’s claimed that Moore held talks with Millwall this week, after they had a £2million bid accepted for the giant target man.

However, Millwall think he prefers a move to Cardiff. Bluebirds boss Neil Harris twice wanted to sign him at Millwall, and now wants him at Cardiff.

Moore allegedly now has his heart set on a move to South Wales, which maybe isn’t a huge surprise; Moore is now a Wales international with two goals in five caps.

Walesonline :
Cardiff City feel they can win the race for Wales striker Kieffer Moore who has become Bluebirds manager Neil Harris' number one target in the transfer window.

A host of Cardiff's Championship rivals want to sign the 27-year-old front-man whose career has blossomed since shining for Ryan Giggs' Wales.

Stoke City, Middlesbrough, Derby, Preston, QPR and Millwall are other clubs ready to make a move for Moore, who bagged 10 goals and also had a number of assists despite Wigan's relegation to League One.

But it seems Moore has set his sights on moving to Cardiff City Stadium, which has become like a second home to him after some excellent displays at international level next to the likes of Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey.

Moore knows a move to Cardiff, where he will be under the spotlight of Welsh fans and the Welsh media, will enhance his prospects of continuing to play for Wales and shining under Giggs at next summer's Euros.

Harris is keen to build his team around Moore, feeling the bustling 6ft 5in centre-forward can become the focal point of the side and provide the goal threat that has often been missing this season.
Moore and Robert Glatzel offer credible options for a Bluebirds team keen to push for automatic promotion next season, although where that would leave the futures of Danny Ward and Callum Paterson remains to be seen
It seems Harris can get his man for around £2.5m, with Wigan desperate for money. Millwall have supposedly had a similar bid for Moore accepted by the Latics hierarchy.

However, Moore has kept his options open and is said to prefer a move to the Welsh capital.

Moore earned a £3million move to Wigan last summer after bagging 21 goals in 51 games for Barnsley.
His career prior to that was somewhat low key, often in non-league, but he has begun to flourish at the highest level.

With Wales, Moore has proven a more than able target man, who can win headers, hold up the ball, link play and also score goals.

Harris feels those are qualities Moore can bring to his Cardiff team, giving the Bluebirds the option of combining a direct game with a more easy on the eye passing style.
Moore scored key Euro 2020 qualifying goals for Wales against Slovakia and Azebarbaijan and his introduction to the team coincided with a dramatic change in fortunes for Giggs' side.

They had previously struggled without a recognised centre-forward in defeats to Hungary and Croatia. Giggs then discovered Welsh ancestry for a player who comes from Torquay and Wales suddenly went on a run of six games without defeat.
Harris is keen to bring in key players who he feels can turn the Bluebirds into a promotion force next season.

As well as Moore, the Cardiff chief has targeted a right-back and midfielder, while he will also look at winger and centre-back options.

The only thing Moore adds is he does come up better on assists, but goals are even between him and Glatzel, and let's not forget,Moore has played in this system (leagues )for a bit longer too,and was brought up on British style football, but some have written RG off, regardless of where he has come from, alone at first, langauge barrier, new teammates etc etc, I believe he will be fine in the new season, and has improved undr Harris  :old: :bluebird:

Know this might sound a bit simplistic but..... Why not move Patto to fullback where he done a great job for Hearts ?

I would also go for Moore at 2m as we could pay that for an unproven premiership youngster on loan.

no not for me, simply because it will mean we are playing target man uptop again, and we dont have the wide players to play off a target man, and playing a target man means Tomlin is ineffectual. i would rather us go for a pacey number 9 who can play off the centre have, and tomlin can feed balls to

Boro boss Neil Warnock is aiming to land a double transfer blow on his former club Cardiff City.

The Middlesbrough manager hopes to beat City to the signing of Wigan striker Kieffer Moore and is pushing for a swift resolution to that tug-of-war.

And Warnock is also understood to be trying to prise away Bluebirds flanker fixture Junior Hoilett.

Towering targetman Moore, 28 on Saturday, was reported to be making his mind up over which club to join after Wigan's administrators accepted bids from both clubs of around the £2m mark.

Other Championship outfits including Derby, Stoke and Preston are said to be watching developments while a bid from QPR was accepted but the player knocked back that option.

The 6ft 5in frontman is understood to have talked to both bosses in recent days about their plans for him as he weighs up his future.
