The club has 5 years before the approval expires. (From 2018)
Why aren’t we as a business thinking longer term here? I don’t understand the value of houses of sport? Compared to large land and a world class facility

Surely a journo or someone ITK can ask the club what the latest is?
exiled12345 wrote:Tony that would be explain the past 6 months, however initial approval was granted back in 2012. The club have been silent and stood still.
Also the cost has not been publicly announced? I also believe the venture is in conjunction with the Vale result too.

Hence my question as to why there are now three locations? Yet our academy still has to train 17 miles away in Treforest, borrowing facilities off the USW. It’s unbelievably poor prioritisation by the club.
There’s a period of consultation within the planning whereby objections raised are reviewed. This has past now so the project is in affect air locked and green lit. They’ve even past the environmental surveys and so forth.
You have to tip your hat to the gypos, they have a world class facility down the gower AND a great youth facility in Landore.
The delay is one thing, but it’s unbelievably frustrating to see the the club prioritise the houses of sport and seemingly lack any kind of long term business planning/strategy.
If we want to keep and recruit better young players, there’s no point In Harris’ empty rhetoric on about ‘forging a greater link between the first team and under 23’s’ when the facilities are second rate. The new training ground is supposed to create a facility whereby the age grade teams are in and around the same centre as the first team week in week out.
Theres a complete lack of communication on this by the clubs communication team

and this ?
“There remain so many unanswered questions.”
“If the player was an asset of Cardiff, what right did anyone have to make decisions on our behalf about the pilot, the state of the plane and all aspects about the licensing to fly commercially?
“A club of our size do not have vast resources.”
“It is obvious we cannot hand over £15million . . . without heading toward bankruptcy.”
