Embarrassing Cardiff City today in my opinion

For over 10 yrs we keep hearing our under 23’s will and is getting better and the quality is coming through, but every year we keep getting rid of most of them.

Where is strength in depth in our squad ?

As a fan
Our squad is not good enough and I’ve said this before we even kicked a ball this season.

But the Committee & Harris say totally different.

We need to shift at least 3 players out flint cunningham and if we can get a decent fee for Murphy him as well.
We need an overall of the midfield.

I totally agree and I stand by Joe Day not good enough.

But Harris insists he has a big and quality squad and is happy with it.

This is embarrassing with Flint and Cunningham playing.
Not good enough Cardiff city management

There is such a lack of quality at the club. However, I believe Cunningham needs a run of games to get to full match fitness.

If Harris is happy with what we have, we are in for a long season especially if or when tomlin gets injured as we will struggle. He is our only match winner, the only player with quality that can open defences and offer service. Judging by that today, we’ve got not a lot of quality coming through either. That’s embarrassing.

Instead of getting rid of players let get rid of the recruitement staff and the board I keep saying we need 4 players in

As far as I’m concerned the alarm bells are well and truly ringIng. Comparisons have already been made to Paul Trollopes short and disastrous tenure, but the under 23s, youth, development set up, call it what you want, has been miss managed for a long long time, and I’ve lost count of all the different youth and academy coaches that have come and gone over the last ten years.
We’ve only just started a new season and were on the back foot already,,,, and I get the feeling of deeper rooted problems that need sorting, not fudged over as if nothing is wrong.

Nothing to be positive about to be fair, it’s looking grim. It’s not the results that’s a worry, it’s how we’ve played in the first 2 games, and a strong u23 side got absolutely smashed. I am sure the happy clappers will sort it out shortly.

Not many positives to discuss in these opening weeks. Lack of transfer activity, Mendez Laing debacle and the opening 2 results.
I will remain calm though, and hold my judgement to 5 games in. I am sure we need a right back, a striker and a creative player still though.

Rick,

And every year or 2yrs another clear out and keep
Blaming the coaches , but who employs these coaches ?

11yrs of disastrous results from the Under 23’s.
And every year most cleared out and they bring the next lot through same old story and yes I’ve been slated on here accused of been negative, but I was told time and time from with in our club no investment in our future.

They should in my opinion kept Craig Bellamy old school and never charged us a penny.

As to the first team Northampton away and Sheff Wed home no go in the team, passion, aggression and a weaker team than last season.

I really really want to be positive, and hold my judgement for 12 games, but I am not hearing good things.

Min £33 mill this season from parachute payments, some of it needs to be invested or we won’t be going up .

Harris to be fair proved me wrong last season big time and I want it to happen again :bluebird: :bluebird:

Just spending money is not the answer Murphy11m,Madine6m,Cunningham 4m,Flint 4m,Pack 2m,Bacuna4m,Bogle1m,Ward 2m, that’s £34m basically wasted! We need a Director of Football and a new Recruitment team like Brentford and dare I say the Jacks!

I’ve said it a few times, get Osian Roberts into the club in charge of everything down from the under 23’s to the academy.

Stuck in a dead end job in Morocco what a total waste of talent. He’d have his pulse on all the upcoming Welsh lads as well.

Choo and Dalman sort it out.

Annis, during the ACE Podcast with Mehmet Dalman, it was me who asked, who is in charge of the transfer committee because its been awful....he asked me to name 1 example, so i told him a few, bobby reid, doesnt fit into a NW style of play, Flint, to similar to Morrison so it wouldn't work, Madine, his reply was, Madine helped us get promotion so the £6m was well spent, other than that he thinks the committee has done okay.

it seems we don't actually target what we need, we just try and get whats available and hope it works

Agree with you 100% mate. Not going to happen though as Harris has got one of his mates running the U23s

Rhys,

The Committee has now been totally in charge fir the last 4 plus years and I stand by most of them are waste of time in finding new talent and are still making as many mistakes as they blamed previous managers on.

But at least Dalman admits publicly that they are responsible for all transfers .

The Committee are totally as well responsible for new coaches etc for the under 23’s.
