Neil Harris gives his thoughts on the rule on substitutions

NEIL HARRIS:

We would be freer from injury if it came in at the start. I’ve heard a few people say some teams, myself included, haven’t used three subs in a game. It’s not about that, it’s about the risks you take going into a game. For us, we have lost three full backs so it’s an issue bringing attacking players on.

It’ll be able to protect players at the end of a game.

It’s vitally important to the home nations, too. I was all in favour of it. A big thing for us is the nine on the bench and the options.

Ultimately over the coming weeks and months everyone is going to be vitally important. So why not have your whole squad involved?

If you can only name 18 players then go with two young lads out of the academy, that’ll be our thought process.

So I think you’ll see some new people on squad lists in the coming weeks and months that can only be a positive.
