yes your correct mate... ive since realised the goal was in feb 1924 and he joined us for the beginning of the 24/.25 cup final season for a fee of twenty five quid...which i think means Moore and Wilson are the ONLY 2 Cardiff players to score in the same game foe Wales...

Last I heard (a few years ago) he was playing rugby!

Darcy is an absolute gentleman and good friend of my family, but his issues were more mental than physical. A good player who as a youngster could play absolutely anywhere on the pitch, including in goals.

He no longer plays rugby, but plays in the same Sunday football team as his younger Brother, who often hears the chant “you’re just a s*** Darcy Blake” by fellow team members and opposition alike.

He last graced the CCS a few seasons ago as a spectator alongside myself in the Canton Stand and upon entering the ground I jokingly asked him if he knew how to use a match-day ticket. He turned around and said “the last time I came here, I was playing for Wales,” which sums up his career unfortunately.
