YOUR OUT OF ORDER NEIL HARRIS / NO RESPECT FOR YOU / A MANAGER DOES NOT LAY THE BLAME ON ONE PLAYER WHO WAS NEVER GIVEN A CHANCE & NAMES HIM / DUE TO YOUR TOTAL FAILURES AS A MANAGER

GET THIS IS IDIOT OUT OF OUR CLUB

I WISH US FANS COULD BE AT THE STADIUM / WE WOULD SOON SHOW YOU WHAT WE THOUGHT OF YOU / YOU COULD BECOME THE MOST HATED MANAGER SINCE ALAN DURBAN 1984-86.

Every week, another pathetic excuse and you even made out Aden Flint only got injured last week, when you even stated on December 17th he was injured.

NEIL HARRIS CLAIMS LEICESTER CITY MAN HAS COST HIM DEARLY

The Bluebirds manager was in fighting spirit after Cardiff City slumped to defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup

By Glen Williams

Sunday 10th January 2021

Neil Harris prepares for Cardiff City ins and outs this week as he makes brutal dig at Leicester City's Filip Benkovic. :o

Cardiff City were knocked out of the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.

It now means the Bluebirds are out of both domestic cup competitions and lie in 15th position in the Championship table.

A dejected Neil Harris spoke with the press following the defeat to discuss transfers, his future and why he thinks it has all gone wrong so far.

Here is everything the manager said.

Q. Four defeats in a row, where does this leave you? Are you worried about your future?

NH: "I can't control that. I'm fed up of taking questions on that, if I'm honest. I'd rather focus on my players.

"It was a much better performance, a game we completely controlled and we should never have lost the game. But we have lost the game, so I understand that is four defeats.

"Norwich and Brentford beat us, Wycombe, we gave poor goals away, [Filip] Benkovic cost us two goals in that game. Conceding two goals in a game we shouldn't lose, he became a liability.

"Then we lose today in the FA Cup, so I understand the question, but I'll be fully focused on Norwich next week."

Q. You wanted to do well in the FA Cup and to build momentum?

Neil Harris: "I always want to do well in the FA Cup, it's a wonderful competition. It has maybe lost its sparkle because of the rules and regulations in the pandemic and no fans there.

"I wanted to win today and picked a team accordingly. I am not overly disappointed with the performance, we controlled the majority of it.

"Our downfall again is it's a poor goal to concede, really disappointed with the goal early on.

"Then, the rest of the game, not just finding that moment of quality. The 15 shots we had, the amount of balls we put across the six-yard box, we just didn't have that moment of quality to unlock their defence."

Q. Should you have cut out the cross?

NH: "Yeah, we shouldn't have got into that position in the first place. Our shape was slightly wrong.

"I said to the players, 'did they do enough hard yards in the build-up to it?'

"We should have stopped the cross and then we gave a striker an opportunity to finish from 12 yards.

"It's a great finish. You look at Lyle Taylor's finish and it's similar to Junior Hoilett's in a similar position. Junior's goes an inch over the bar, Lyle's goes under the bar. Those close margins at the moment.

"I'm not bemoaning the fine margins, we have to do better in those moments and we didn't. We weren't close enough, we should have stopped the cross and the finish."

Q. Out of both cups, this season is not panning out as you'd hoped, where do you go from here?

NH: "Quickly, we need to get players back out on the training pitch. Jordi Osei-Tutu, Kieffer Moore, get them back into the group. Sean Morrison, Aden Flint, getting those four players available will help us both ends of the pitch.

"Try to boost the group in the transfer window, if it's possible to do it. And asking more of the players. Demanding better standards.

"The goal we conceded today was much different to the goals we conceded in the last few games.

"Are the lads doing enough hard yards to stop the goals? That's the questions I'm asking them."

Q. Do the club need to come out and give you their backing so you know you have their support?

NH: "Unless I'm told otherwise, I've got the club's support.

"We talk internally all the time. The chief exec, chairman and owner, I speak to them all regularly, I spoke to them yesterday.

"They know the areas of the pitch where I want to improve, they know the injury nightmare we have - we haven't seen Lee Tomlin yet this season.

"It's important we get influential players out on the pitch.

"But the club want better and I want better results."

Q. The board supporting you in the window suggests they are backing you, is that fair to say?

NH: "I hope so.

"I understand criticism when you don't win games. I understand expectation levels like when I came in last season and came fifth in the division when we looked miles away from it when I came in.

"I understand I've built the expectation levels for this year.

"We started slowly, had a fantastic run and we are in a bit of a slump again at the moment.

"People think the easiest thing is to just change the manager. Sometimes you have to look deeper than that within the club. The mindset, the mentality, the recruitment over a period and then what we want to do in the future.

"I want better results and I want to change the mentality within the football club."

Q. Your reaction to Crewe about Perry NG? They have said your offer was 'disgusting'?

NH: "It's always going to be about opinions, isn't it? I don't need to respond to that comment, from club to club.

"It's a player we are aware of and have looked at for a period of time, but that's as much as I'm willing to say on that."

Q. Hopeful Kieffer Moore will be fit for Norwich?

NH: "We truly hope so. Jordi Osei-Tutu will train with us this week, Kieffer Moore will be with us this week.

"Hopefully, Greg Cunningham and Aden Flint will be back in training, albeit a few weeks off to be back to the levels of first-team football, but it's a little bit more positive.

"Lee Tomlin is out running, hopefully things are moving in the right direction."

Q. A big week until Norwich now, how important is it to get bodies back training and also new signings if possible?

NH: "It is a big week.

"We have got the toughest fixture possible in front of us in Norwich, who are top of the league for a reason.

"Yes, four defeats in a row, backs to the wall again. But we'll come out fighting, I always do.

"I was a lot more pleased with the performance, we were a lot more controlled. But did we have those quality moments? That's where it comes down to individual moments for us.

"Did we have that hunger for half a yard in the penalty area?

"Getting players back this week will be vital for that. We are missing key players, ultimately, we can't ignore that and paper over the cracks.

"Having a week on the training pitch will help.

"The week just gone has helped, just to get some messages into the players and we saw that in the performance today.

"Individually, again, the ball can't go in the goal. They've had one shot. One shot from outside the box, too, their only efforts on goal.

"We've lost the game 1-0 so still work to be done."

Q. Does the lack of clinical edge up top highlight the need for another striker?

NH: "I think that's fair to say, a fair assumption.

"We have missed Kieffer not being in the team. If you miss players, other players have to step up.

"We missed Jordi Osei-Tutu, Leo (Bacuna) has done a sterling job filling in a position that's not his regular position. We have missed him in the middle of the park.

"Joe Bennett stepped up today and I thought he was excellent at left centre half. But we missed the captain, Sean Morrison.

"Not being able to call on Sol Bamba. Greg Cunningham would have played there apart from illness, so we'll have to see how he goes this week.

"It's all hands to the pump, but there were some good performances. I thought Joel Bagan was outstanding at left back. Solid, really reliable and we got to see what a good player he is going to be."

Q. Are you envisaging any transfers to happen in or out in the coming days?

NH: "I certainly hope for ins.

"Outs, we have had some interest in the last 24 hours, but it'll be down to whether players want to go.

"We have to balance the books, that's for sure, and I have made that very clear.

"But we need players and quality at the moment and we need results.

"Having everyone available would help that and bringing in a player or two in this window will be key as well, just to boost the group or morale on the training pitch.

"Maybe make those players do the hard yards because of the competition."

Q. Are you hopeful of one in before Norwich?

NH: "I am hopeful, yes! As we all are.

"It's tough at the moment, because team selection this weekend, teams will give players an opportunity. If they play well they might hang around.

"Teams who get through in the FA Cup are not going to release their players. Premier League clubs are not going to release players on the fringes because they are going to want them for the fourth round on January 23.

"Players who were completely out the window, like Forest today, had four or five players play today and they might be back in the mix here.

"So, we have to take that into the equation. We have to look at 112 cases of Covid in the Football League, you get a couple of them at a club and they aren't going to let people go because they need the cover.

"It might be another slow week, things will pick up I'm sure. But for us, my focus has to be on trying to keep players and trying to get players in if possible."

Roger, because in mY opinion Harris is a coward as its easy to blame a player behind his back who has left , than blame players here who can strand up to him.

What a poor attempt to try and convince fans that Benko going back was actually a good thing

How about Bennett, Murphy and countless others that have cost us many more goals and points?

I for one would have liked Benko to be given a chance weeks ago but Harris the mastermind didn't think there warranted a change

What's worrying is the lack of support he's getting from the committee from his P.O.V. Too cowardly to publically back him or sack him. The result is a man steering a sinking ship all on his own. Dalman, Choo & Tan waving the ship off into the distance with parrots on their shoulders.

I am hoping for news today but still think they will stand by him because they cant hear the fans. Home matches would have been toxic by now. Email the club saying he must go or you will not renew your season ticket. Even if they receive a few hundred of those emails it will probably tip the balance. I don't want to get personal about Harris, he is just out of his depth. Not strong enough in the dressing room and not quick enough tactically.

Andrew, 1000% they do from Dalman, Choo, to the the players and even Tan, even all the back room staff do.
I can tell you now the board don’t know what to do as they have no one lined up and won’t spend a penny as Harris will have to be paid off etc

I was optimistic when he took over but I was wrong I’m afraid he’s well out of his depth even with the signings that he made which I gotta be fair looked promising but it ain’t just about signing good players it about getting the best out of them and sadly Harris is not strong enough, Moore in my eyes is class so is Wilson ojo is a top player too but unfortunately our defence is struggling big time I only wish Warnock had this team we certainly wouldn’t be where we are now.
It will be interesting if the board actually lets him go though to me they will prob drag it out until next season I just hope we stay up but judging by the latest performances could look iffy.

He said it'll be good to get the players for a week preperation . Well we just had 10 days preperation before the forest game , that worked out well! He's completely out of his depth .
Time to go Harris , Warnock went and his results were wonderful compared to this.

With pressure mounting after every result they will need to pull the trigger soon. My guess is after Norwich tho I think it should have been after Wycombe.
The new man has not much chance to do anything this season now.

But the players are shite. Regardless who comes in. The players will still be shite. Fact.

Regardless of what Harris says or does the players will remain the same for some months to come. Crap.

The players weren’t crap for him last season mate. That means to me that for whatever reason (tactics, respect, personality) the players are t doing it for him at present. That can’t go on.

Honestly don't know how he's still in the job, lucky fans are not there or he would probably be gone by now. That's all that's saving him.

It's not even a split, you talk to other fans and not many are sticking up for him

I agree if the fans were in the stadium the pressure would be immense on him and the feelings would there for him to see.

Don’t worry, the club know the feelings of the fans and it’s down to Tan alone to change this.

This and a manager who they feel is the right one as well.

How are the players crap?

Smithies and Philips are both good keepers at this level especially Philips.

Morrison is one of the best on the division and Nelson is an able partner, Joe Bennett is a decent left back.

Harry Wilson should be one of the best players in the division. Glatzel and Moore are quality strikers in a right team. We are probably 1-2 shory from being major challenges but out of both Cups in the first round and 15 th in the League is a shocking indictmemt on the Manager.

Really? Name me a player in our squad that would fit in and excel at another club? I’m not talking about Wilson. Moore, Vaulks or Morrison. I’m not talking about a vast majority of the other players. Your delusional if you think they aren’t bad.

I’d it if we went to the Prem this year. We’d need at at least 100mil to sort out areas within the squad.

We need at least 50mil if we want to be real contenders next year for the prem.

Your forgetting that last season was a ‘year ago’. Players get older. Their ideals change. Covid happened.

We need to build from the bottom up.

Ok those 4 plus Ralls, Bacuna (as a midfielder), Smithies, Bennett (a good player who played in the premier for us who apparently Watford were / are interested in.
Even Nelson was ok last season but has been seriously found wanting on occasions this season.
There is some dead wood and even some of the above could be shipped out and I wouldn’t be too unhappy but many of those mentioned played well under Warnock.
I’m not banging the Neil Warnock drum, I’m just saying basically that sometimes players need a kick up the backside to perform to the required standard.
Not delusional, just my opinion.

The players weren’t crap for him last season mate. That means to me that for whatever reason (tactics, respect, personality) the players are t doing it for him at present. That can’t go on.

I see your point, don’t get me wrong I do partly agree. I just feel that even if Klopp came in he’d struggle to get a top 2 finish with that squad. At the moment we’re that team like Preston and Bristol have been for some time, that team that hoover around the playoff places then drop off.

We need a solid defender. Another Mozza. Which lets face it is hard to come by for a championship team.

That team and the positions could be alternated on a regular basis. Baccuna on his is day is phenomenal. If Glatzel had a bit more spine and out muscled defenders he’d be fantastic.

We need at least 4 new players, 2 in defence and someone to give Ralls more competition for a place. I’ve seen games over the year where Ralls has been man of the match. I’ve seen games though where I’m pretty sure he’s not made a successful pass.

Harris might not of spent no money, but the squad that started this season is a play off squad :bluebird:

Agree with your squad requirements. I’d like one or two more but being realistic I think you’re right.
I agree that there’s dead wood here that needs to go mate but it would be interesting to see the impact of a new manager. We always see a surge in form with a new man in charge which does go to show that certain individuals may be cruising / new tactics could be a breath of fresh air.

Completely agree with you Annis we have both been watching football for more years than we would care to admit but to blame a player he NEVER showed any interest in playing for the defeat at Wycombe is nothing short of disgraceful. For me the truth is we lost a Wycombe because their players wanted it more and their manager, the same as Steve Cooper in the Swansea game, had their players running through walls for them.

We may have dominated that game yesterday but we never really looked like hurting Forest, and let's face it they are staring into the relegation trap door, and dominating a poor team means f**k all if that domination involves passing the ball sideways and backwards with no intensity, Chris Houghton was laughing he bollocks off at how easy we made it for them.

We have good players in our squad, not enough depth which we ALL saw before the season started, but I see a group of players who are just going through the motions and I blame Harris for that.

For me the Forest goal yesterday indeed the second Wycombe goal was because we don't have a specialist right back with Osei Tutu injured, but who made the decision to go into a season with just the one right back. The YES MAN Harris. Yesterday their left back ran nearly 50 yards without a challenge and in my mind any team that does that doesn't deserve to win.

Harris has to be dealt with and NOW before we are really in trouble.

Agreed in fact when you look at it we didn't have Moore, Wilson, Ojo last season, so really the squad is better than last season when we just missed out on promotion. To me the majority of the players know they won't get dropped so they're not putting the effort into each game, hence why they make the same mistake week after week and don't get dropped, so there is definitely an issue with the manager, and the ONLY answer is to change the manager so that they are not so sure of their place in the team
