Kind of a sad one but I was on top of The World Trade Centre in New York the same year as the dreadful terrorist attacks.

Marching Cardiff City out onto the pitch in honour of fallen heroes and comrades on consecutive Remembrance Days, plus organising and leading the RAF 100 celebrations, all at the CCS. My mates in the Canton shouted “do the ayatollah,” so I took a risk in getting a quick head tap in before the cameras caught me.

When snooker player Mark Williams was no 1 in the world, I was in the same queue for a bar as him and shouted “Mark, do you prefer pink or brown?” In all fairness, he laughed, but I never did get an answer.

The time I met the nephew of Bungle from Rainbow was interesting as he told me his uncle wanted to pursue a serious acting career, but ironically the role that made him famous, also held him back as no one would take him seriously.

Apart from nukes famous 'sleep-in', I'm still not seeing anything that comes anywhere close to a real 'claim to fame'; just a few personal moments that are important to the posters themselves

Still none dafter than to OP's though...

Major league!!!

Assumed I was about to die and for split seconds wondering how I was gonna die... impact injuries, burnt to death, smoke inhalation etc.

A side note to this story...I was the very last person to board the plane, sat next to an elderly lady in row 3. As we began to taxi the steward checked my ticket and asked me to sit in my correct seat row 7 which I did.
Needless to say that elderly lady died.

I think I reffed the last game of football to be played at NP before it was torn down. A South Wales churches league cup final game.

I say I 'think' as i seem to remember a game being booked at NP after mine, but Im not sure it went ahead.

In the end the right hand engine failed from faulty oil pressure but the official cause of the crash was pilot error.

I was in junior school with Tom Jones' son!

And when City were on TV in 1970 v Sheffield United (3-0 in the rain) I was often on screen at the front of the Canton Stand.

I sat next to Esther Rantzen and Richard Wilson on flights to Glasgow.
