dont count your chickens... maybe theyve just held back on giving him a new contract until he comes back from the euros in one piece.... Johnny not being on a retained list but then somehow ending up playing for that club is not new.....

That’s a very good point. Can you imagine the furore if JW was given a contract extension, and then came back from the Euro’s with a season long injury???
