“ SOL BAMBA BIG MISTAKE “

Thu Jul 22, 2021 11:42 am

UPDATED:

Sol Bamba turned out for Middlesbrough's under-23s in their 2-0 win over Redcar Athletic at their Rockliffe training base.

The 36-year-old is currently training with the club in a bid to maintain fitness, however reports have suggested Boro are mulling over handing the player a one-year contract and Bamba will continue to take his coaching badges at the same time.

A true role model and perfect to represent our club Cardiff City.

Knows his football , born leader , still gifted , player coach this season for Cardiff City big mistake City virtually turfing him out.

Very highly thought of in football.

Not a big head, time for everyone.

Players look up to him, had a chat with one this morning and the players at City were shocked Sol left as they and Sol thought he still had a future at City.

Fans favourite.

I hope Sol Bamba proved us wrong this season.

Sol already has some licenses in coaching.

I predict Sol Bamba to be a great future manager :thumbright: :thumbright:
Plus once again a lot of respect lost by our board once again.

I am not writing this through sentimental reasons, I honestly feel City have made a mistake and it’s our loss.

Couldn't agree more; Sol Bamba a class act on and off the field and I've stated before (a) we should have kept him as player/coach, and (b) we will one day rue the opportunity we have now missed

Not sure who made the actual decision but it was a short-sighted one...

Massive ovation when/if he comes back and nothing but best wishes to him and his family going forward  :notworthy:

Spot on Chris :thumbright: :thumbright:

Our committee made it, I was told 100%, not Mick.

The CCFC squad were in shock.

i was under the opinion that Sol wanted one last year playing and it was clear that could not be guaranteed by City

He was happy to accept player / coach or just player for another season and low wages, I promise you.

Sol don’t need the money, he has been very wise with his money over the years :thumbright:

I sort of agreed with the board decision at first, but since then I have found out both sides , so I don’t agree.

Well, in that case they got it massively wrong and it clearly says a lot about where Mick is concerned...

Another manager with one hand tied behind his back but with them still hoping his nouse and experience will carry us through...

That's just dampened my day, tbh :(

Well it won’t be under this board and the same with Bellamy.

100% agree with you Annis. What a great role model he would be for our youngsters and a magnificent ambassador for our club. The club never really treat our players well. Junior never really had the thanks he deserved not Bennett. Witts sadly was never given his testimonial he so richly deserved.they still haven’t sorted out the ‘fitting tribute’ All of these players loved the fans though. That tells you a lot.

Maybe Mick saw him as a threat to his position and was happy to see him go. Who knows?

Very worrying regarding Mick.

Chris, I don’t think we have the Mick of old , hopefully I am wrong .

Well Annis, after his impressive start, it seems the 'Wow' factor disappeared as the ink dried on the contract: although in mitigation, we did have a fair old injury list, which by no coincidence saw Sean Morrison out of the side

I'll continue to support Mick and his team but for the first time I'm wondering if he is bowing meekly to his emoyers and I am moving less inclined to support the current hierarchy

I don,'t believe they are that interested anymore; although I don't think they'll let us sink

Going to be a 'grit your teeth' season that may test the patience of many supporters

Warnock coaxed sol away but the powers that be deemed him not worth holding onto or mick would not play him and sol wanted to play sad loss

Chris,

It’s virtually how I am seeing it on all fronts.

Yes I will fully support Big Mick and our club, but I am very very worried .

Brazza,

This board or committee gave no real football in them and in my opinion have failed badly in many decisions costing our club £millions that should not have been lost.

Plus their decisions and promises on so many players have been shocking.

These players really did love our fans and deserve much more respect than they have been given :bluebird:

Once again, you listen to the voices in your head and think they're right...

And once again, you simply have NO idea...

Far more to Sol's departure than he is letting on and that shows the gentleman he is... :notworthy:
