https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-58873132I see Mr Slade thinks that players should get paid for 'their data' - which includes the sort of stuff schoolboys 'collect' about their favourite players from outlets such as the latest FIFA game, matchday programmes, trading cards and other sources.
This could have a massive impact on pricing of stuff if firms have to pay for data such as players height, age or goals per match.
Interestingly, Slade owns or is deeply involved in a data company that seems to dish out this sort of information, presumably to sell on to the media or other companies that use this sort of stuff.
This I think is unpoliceable or unenforceable as the data comes from myriad sources and I would guess not a lot comes from the players themselves - I would think the data producing firms might have something to say about it.
As a user - this is a bad thing and will mean we get less infomation while watching matches or reading matchday programmes.
