Morison now 2/5 with Sky Bet and his odds are constantly getting shorter.

The reason for the short odds could be 2-fold, on top of bets already placed.
1. He is likely to be appointed
2. Bookies will pay out on a caretaker manager who does 10 games as they consider that to be permanent. The lack of any apparent movement at the club to appoint anyone else makes this a possibility.

Totally agree. I hope it's the first option.

But f they appoint him until the new year then, in betting terms, that would make him our permanent manager as it would go over the ten-game threshold.

He's already managed three games so his odds will naturally fall.

Probably been a bit of money placed on him as well for these reasons or maybe they have contacts who know a bit more (for example, him being likely to be appointed).

I still hope they give the job to him.

I think I do to, but I wonder if Beale is more of a possibility now that Gerrard has gone to Villa?
