Liverpool v Cardiff date?

Tue Jan 11, 2022 9:05 pm

Does anyone know roughly when we’ll hear what the dates are for the 4th round games?

Andrew, the 4th Round ties will be held across the weekend of Friday 4 and Monday 7 February 2022.

Winning clubs in the fourth round will pick up £90,000 from the competition prize fund

Sorry Chris, I wrote without thinking. :laughing6:
I meant, does anyone know when the actual day and ko time will be decided. Thinking of making a weekend of it if I can get a ticket. Hoping it’s not going to be Friday or Monday evening.

One thing that's almost guaranteed is it won't be on the Saturday at 3pm.

If BBC or ITV don't pick it as one of their main matches, BBC Wales would definitely take it on.

I think this too.
Here’s hoping for 530 Saturday or early Sunday
Any ideas on when the games are selected for tv so we can plan?

I've been wondering the same. Some fuzzy logic, looking at the FA website. The 3rd round draw was completed on Monday 6th December, and the TV fixtures were confirmed on Thursday 9th.

So, on that logic, we'll hopefully have something today or tomorrow :?

It's not a very scientific approach mind  :ayatollah:

I've just spoken to the ticket office and no news yet, best to keep a watch on the web site and of course on here.

read somewhere that the allocation for Shrewsbury was just over 5,000. Not sure how many ST holders we have atm but it'll be interesting how they put them on sale.

I was told by a liverpool fan that they have a policy of giving all fa cup gate reciepts to lower division clubs including championship.

We could potentially get 8000 as FA Cup away allocation is 15% of Anfields capacity. I guess the initial rounds of selling structure will be at least 3 aways, possibly 4 and then the usual tiered drop to general STs. I think that STs even with 1 away should get a good chance of a ticket if we're allocated 8000, I hope so anyway.

Fingers crossed, Paul... :thumbright:

Going to be a lot of interest in this game (from our side) and away game 'ticks' are going to be worth theircweight in gold for the first round of allocations :ayatollah:

Hope we'll be OK Chris. The club need to ensure that interested ST holders get the opportunity of a ticket before a more general sale is allowed. I've had a fair few requests for tickets already which I'm sure most of us will get!

I think Shrewsbury sold 5000+ of the 8000 they were offered. The remainder were returned.

Club just need to make sure the regular 1.5k etc season ticket holders and members get tickets. 4 aways should do it. Then s/t holders and members in reducing levels like normal. No need to change its current away ticket policy just because its a 'glamour tie'

One away will be fine..providing its one ticket per person..

We will also receive 45% of gate receipts too...which is nice.
