Cardiff City showed an interest in taking Fulham's Cyrus Christie on loan but the defender is now set to complete a permanent move elsewhere.

Cardiff asked about Christie as a loan signing,but Fulham were only interested in him leaving on a personal move.

The Bluebirds were linked with the 29-year-old right back, but the player had also drawn interest from Elche in Spain and Bologna in Italy. Blackburn Rovers were also credited with an interest.

While it is understood that Republic of Ireland international Christie was a player on Cardiff's radar, he is expected to sign a permanent deal with another club in the coming weeks.

He has just signed for Scumsea on loan apparently!!!
