Apparently he is the son of Mike Doyle.

I thought Mike Doyle was the panto dame who does the new theatre panto every year. As it turns out there is another Mike Doyle - used to play for Man City....

"One of many teams interested"

Hardly confirmation. Unless someone has some inside knowledge it looks like another rumour.

I didn't say it was confirmation, just posted a link after reading igovernors OP. Does read like we seem to be showing stronger interest than the rest of the interested clubs but like you say, could just be hearsay.

Sounds like igovernor may know more, perhaps he could share it with us?

Another central midfielder.

He may be an upgrade on what we have but surely it's the attacking side we need.

A young hungry winger or no 10.

Also we are looking at a left wing back and a striker, regarding the striker it all depends if anything happens with moore!

Tommy Doyle is the grandson of Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe who were members the Man City side that won the FA Cup in 1969?
The winning goal scored by Neil Young (not the Canadian rock star).

Glyn Pardoe’s career ended when he broke his leg after a tackle by George Best.

Cardiff City are targeting a loan move for Tommy Doyle - with Manchester City midfielder keen to find game time having terminated his deal at Hamburg
By Simon Jones

Cardiff City are among many Championship sides interested in Tommy Doyle

Doyle asked for his loan at Hamburg to be cut short after a lack of game time

He is the grandson of Manchester City legends Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe

The 20-year old last week asked for his loan at German side Hamburg to be cut short so that he could move elsewhere and earn more game time.

A host of Championship sides have shown interest but Cardiff are pressing to fend off competition and win the race for the former City U23s captain.

It was...!

I recall a school mate of mine having 'Franny Lee' boots. They were called 'Hummell Tufspin Swivel Spin' had their studs on a circular platform that rotated as he turned

I believe Alan Ball used to use them too...

Not sure they made any difference but 'Llew' was a decent player... :D

Annis barring any last minute complications looks like it's a done deal.
Doyle is not on big wages!
Estimated at between 7k/9k per week.
To me that is big wages but in the context of what footballers get nowadays quite low :laughing6:

We just offloaded Zimba and that CB so that would have free'd up a good portion of that 7/8k.

Surely a lad of his status wouldn’t be on “high” wages - even so don’t the loaning club pay only a proportion? PNE reportedly pay only 25% of Murphys wages.

I don’t know what’s more shocking the daily mail being right or is signing him.

But who cares he’s a bluebird now.
