Cardiff City fans LOCKED OUT of stadium

Wed Jan 05, 2022 3:55 pm

I want to know the feelings fans have.

* Welsh Gov locking Fans out of stadiums due to COVID

* WRU considering playing all 'home' matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the six nations

*Welsh F.A pays sports clubs in Wales to lock out their own fans https://www.faw.cymru/en/covid-19/

* Welsh F.A get this financial allowance to grant grants from the Welsh Gov

* Welsh Gov gets this money from tax payers and some Cardiff City season ticket holders that they locked out, -- paying the club TWICE to be locked out.

*All large sports clubs go along with this and refuse to consider playing matches in England as the W.R.U have in interest of profit

*WRU only interested in playing at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium as that income generated outstrips tax payer's money (Welsh GOV WRU) grants

Should the club put fans first, copy the WRU and find a stadium in England to play? Or keep fans locked out and continue this fan self-funding lockout quagmire :old:

Massive error of judgement to devolve covid management like they did. It’s created nothing but confusion anger and more importantly division.

We are one United Kingdom and should have covid protocols consistent throughout

Huge mistake. Jumped the gun. Tried to get a one up on England. Totally backfired. Could save face with a swift u-turn but too stubborn. Justifying their existence once again. Scrap the waste of money.

Should Cardiff City F.C put FANS first. STOP taking the tax'payer's money through F.A.W Grants and find a venue across the border?? :angel8: :angel8:  :hello1:

Drakeford got it wrong it seems

Wed Jan 05, 2022 5:13 pm

What an utter mess and as per yet more power mad interfering from Drakeford.

They cant both be right is Johnson is right or Drakeford is.

Covid infection rate only rose 6% for the last week in England, there arent 54 million people infected due to the exponential rate of transmission as stated by Drakeford and his health Minister.

We now have the ridiculous scenario of being able to watch the city away but not at home and having to watch the 6 nations games in the spurs ground.

Im beginning to think Drakeford is not up to the job - same goes for the Welsh Health Minister down the Bay. Wont be getting my vote again

He's put himself under pressure and the WRU have added to it, I think he will backdown for them, Cardiff, Newport, Wrexham and Swansea should look at playing home games (or at least pretend) in England to add pressure.

Yes. And it's a shame it takes W.R.U's love of money to bring into light that the clubs mentioned have always had other choices. Where are the fans in their thought processes? I thought Newport County A.F.C was owned by the SUPPORTERS trust :angel8: :angel8:

There was a petition going around under 5000
signed]
20000 signatures and pressure from the WRU
would make a difference.

My opinion is only boostered fans
or negative on the day lateral flow test will get us stadium in Wales anytime soon.
There's walk in vaccination centres all over Wales now.

Boris is riding it out. Drakeford intent on damaging livelihoods. Supported Corbyn, supported by Momentum. The rest of Britain said no, backward Wales Yes to far left politics.
The people of Wales allowed this moron to thrive.

Newport County A.F.C 'The Exiles' .. What a resilient lot eh? Can't do 40mins to Edgar street. Is that club still fan owned? More like Drakeford owns them

Re: Cardiff City fans LOCKED OUT of stadium

Cardiff City could quite easily test the water on this one by giving away home advantage to Preston on Sunday.

The FA Cup at this stage doesn't garnish large crowds anyway unless a big name comes a calling. Not sure we would be giving away much advantage and Preston can offer us a larger part of the ground if we need it.

Dripford threatens rugby with finacial consequences if they play in england. I reckon everybody should go down the bay outside Parliament and protest when the skinny tool turns up for work
oh hang about he' s going to fine himself £60 for turning up for work
he and the labour party are going to far in wales saying hear are the rules which we have just made up and get and "do them" its time we told him to "do one" and f.ck off.

And those 'financial consequences' are no more WRU grants a.k.a the tax payers' money :nono:

Yes he is right to stop large gatherings, should make restaurants and bars to close at nine, and make wearing face masks law whist outdoors. Also have a curfew between 10pm to 7am unless going to work

Wouldn't surprise me if we get an announcement sooner rather than later that Sporting events with spectators will resume in a couple of weeks. He'll add in a couple of caveats, such as hospital admissions, bit with nothing changing in England for 3 weeks there'll be pressure on Drakeford to come into line with Westminster.

Where does this leave season ticket holders? Will Cardiff City F.C offer a refund pro rata for the games missed?

Games behind closed doors or with a reduced capacity is all in the customers charter on the club website. Basically either a streaming pass or a prorata refund.

Nice one for finding out mate! At least they're covered but not the same as live match. Have a good evening :occasion5:

popped into asda in coryton this evening and saw a sign at the entrance stating that this store can accommodate 880 people under current covid restrictions , that would mean under the current rate of infection you would have 44 people with covid in a cofined space, what a laugh i would'nt feel safe in there with a 100 people. Just shows what a mess the WAG have made to say you can't sit out doors in a reduced capacity stadium.

You wouldn't feel safe?! Ha

This is the mass hysteria the media and Government have created. Not feeling 'safe' in a f*cking supermarket.

I wouldn't feel safe in the centre of Kabul, I wouldn't feel safe walking through a dodgy estate in London in the dark, I wouldn't feel safe standing on top of the Severn bridge with no harness! ... In Asda, doing my weekly shop, with a few other people and a cold floating around. I think I'd take my chances!!

No longer 'acceptable' in which way regarding Cardiff City FC's uncontrolled position? :?

Oddly enough, for the club and season ticket holders, we are all in this together and without choice

We frankly should follow the considerations of the WRU and look to play home games in England until the Welsh Government get their heads out of their behinds and allow us fans in Cardiff again.

Locked out until March at least.
City should consider moving games to England..
A relegation battle without fans.
Wales health minister quoted as, saying in regards to the six nations
"We'll see what happens. It's early days. The fact is this variant is moving very quickly. What we're hoping is we'll reach the peak and come down very quickly after that. I believe two of the matches are due to played in March so we'll see if we are out of the woods by then..
Fcuk me what happened to the covid passport.
