I can’t see the need for the bubble in this day and age. A few will play up for the first couple of games then it’ll just become the norm and settle down I reckon

There won’t be a boycott.
There will be enough fans who want to go and will kick up enough of a fuss to get the travel groups to put on coaches.
So all it would do is piss of fans.
It’s the police who primarily make it a bubble and they’d be happy if anything if they didn’t have to worry about away fans.
A pointless exercise.

I think the South Wales Derby is the only fixture in Britain which fans are unable to make their own way to and have to be bubbled which when you think about it is bloody ridiculous considering Rangers V Celtic, Man U v Liverpool, Arsenal v Spurs are all bubble free , there has to come a time when South Wales Police will have to allow this fixture to be bubble free, just as The Met and Police Scotland cope with their games.

There’s no away fans at Rangers v Celtic games mate.

Think that changes soon, I have been to the Edinburgh Derby games where I know the away fans are escorted by Police from one side of the City to the other and it is so well controlled without incidents and both sets of fans feel safe, we all know the score in South Wales, if you play up you will be caught and most of our fans would not want to lose their liberty, their jobs etc for a scrap at the football, it’s only a matter of time before the bubble is lifted in my opinion.

It may and if it does fans will be segregated on transport, in pubs and in the ground. It’s obviously different from the Jacks game as we don’t share a city with them, thank fekk.

Burnley V Blackburn use to be.... not sure still is.... problem with city v swans the away game for us is their ground is not close to station and not easily controlled compared to games at ccs where its a straight Rd all way to stadium ..... Will police risk the possibility of large disorder from non supporters probably not.

That Sloper Road Blues always stirring and FANS can and should be able to decide not be pressured in to boycotting.
Boycotting will only hurt our Team.

Exactly it’s classic cutting off noses to spite faces.

Cardiff have asked for it to be lifted, so it’s not our fault and Our Team will need us big time.

I agree we don't want to shoot ourselves in the foot with no fans and a stadium full of them, keep fighting in the right way, and the bubble will be gone in a year or two.
Make it as miserable as possible when they come here, just bare essentials basic food and don't give them Madri give them the cheap rubbish at Madri price and rubbish pies none of the better stuff, hardly any staff make them wait and get misserable

If they stop the bubble, do you think there will still be thousands of fans outside waiting for Cardiff fans to arrive?

I’m in a minority but banning away fans has killed the atmosphere at Old Firm games. A fans boycott will lessen the fixture.

Nick it certainly has and that’s why I believe this season, they are lifting it???

Agree. Our fans need to be 12th man. And if we can make it this year of giving them a close run at their ground. A big away following lift can pick them up for that final push who knows

Let's face it if there was no bubble there would be carnage ,we would take over the city centre like we use too .
Fri Aug 09, 2024 5:08 pm
I'm just an old lefty whose done lots of demos but maybe a visible form of protest would be more effective: a boycott is invisible. Could people think about a form of demonstration around the idea of being imprisoned in a Bubble and take it to the derby. People dressed as convicts is one example - but think up your own expressions and how to present them at the match. Just an idea.
Fri Aug 09, 2024 6:21 pm
It's not boycotting that's needed for the jacks game, it's us treating it as seriously as they do that's the real issue.
And I'll personally ask the FAB to make this preparation a boardroom issue this season. The jacks even use operational shithousery like limiting our numbers of fans due to the numbers of coaches allowed at theirs as its a bubble.
Boycotting would make us look like melts too. And it would be armageddon at theirs as we would take over the shithole for the day like always, whilst they would be protected at ours by the heddlu in a gay bar as they infamously were on Churchill Way a while back.
Shut That Door.

Quite pathetic to boycott such a big game for us over a bubble.
I’d imagine there’d be quite a lot of trouble if there was no bubble, don’t see why it’s such a big issue.
Fri Aug 09, 2024 8:08 pm
Be careful what you wish for as regarding the bubble I have posted about this in the past if you think making youre own way to Swansea is a good idea I would think again if I was you I know that area well around the ground and from the station our fans would get attacked from all areas for those of you who have made the trip to Swansea you have all seen what’s it’s like hundreds of Swansea fans waiting for us before and after the game they don’t mind who they hit down there if they see you walking even with a family they will abuse you or even hit you the days are long gone when we used to go there with a massive following and take over the place

Won't matter after this season anyway, when they're relegated to League 1
Fri Aug 09, 2024 10:09 pm

Exactly why it needs to stay a bubble then.

Our team boycott it most of the time anyway by not turning up!
