Breaking: Omer Riza after his meeting with Vincent Tan :

Tue Nov 19, 2024 12:49 pm

My View:

Riza making excuses for the last 2 defeats saying our players were tired and we played well.

Well Riza every club we played had played the same amount of games and actually Our last 2 games if you were honest We were awful against 2 teams who had been on terrible runs of games and could not score.

Just be honest Riza.

I can’t believe I am saying this , But Tan has 100% done right not giving him the job after all the previous managers.

OMER RIZA:

Riza after his long-haul flight and meeting with Vincent Tan:

“I'm still interim - anything can happen between now and [January]. If you don't get a good result or a couple of bad results, potentially someone else can come in.”

“I will continue as Interim manager as long as Vincent Tan wants me.”

"I just have to keep doing what I'm doing. The team has to keep fighting, they are working so hard for me. Players have put it on record that they want me here. Fans (opinions) have gone from sort of 20% to 80%. So we are in the right direction, it's just that pressure now of winning the next block of games and kicking on from there.”

“Each block is important, but when you're not permanent, you can't look too far ahead, so I will take it as it happens.”

"It's a shame about the last two games.”

“The Luton one we let in a goal from a set play, it really should have been 0-0. The Blackburn game, it was back to individual mistakes. We created 20 chances, but mistakes and lack of intensity in the first half wasn't good enough and of course luck.”

"I think the games just caught up with the group a little bit. We were tired and I didn't rotate as much as I would have liked.”

"In this next block [of games], we've got players coming back, Joe Ralls, Aaron Ramsey. There are a few coming back into the fold to make us stronger and give us more depth. Hopefully we can have a good next block [of games]."

“We go to Wednesday to win and and attack them, if we continue as we’ve been playing, I’m sure we will come away happy.”

All managers make excuses after losing. That isn’t just a Riza issue or a Cardiff issue.

Do agree he knows more than he’s letting on though

When they start saying my players are tired yet so are other teams players exactly the same, then I know they are struggling.

Annis, something has happend there is no question of that. Why would you fly out all that way to be told to carry on as you have been doing?? Hopefully the Bilic story comes off and if Riza has been offered some sort of promotion/supportive role then fine, but let's bring this to an end, hopefully with Bilic as the new manager.

With you all the way Paul, Def something has happened and Riza is not happy.
But I would be happy to see Riza as one of our coaches.

More time lost. Rudderless. We could be well entrenched in the bottom 3 by January. But as always the fans are told nothing. Absolutely no engagement.

In full agreement with this.
Sick of the tired, prolonged inactivity and complete absence of a plan / ambition

Ten weeks now without a permanent Manager is absolutely pathetic just goes to show the board are clueless and have never had any sort of plan

Once again Dalman and Choo have gone awol when the going gets tough…bunch of cowards

If they had hired someone straight away who failed, they would have been blasted for jumping to the ‘cheap option’

If we wait until January, to hire a proven successful coach who wasn’t available until January then it’s too long.

No wonder the board don’t tell us fans feck all.

We’ve been in a LOT worse situations and positions.

Does anyone want to remind themselves where we were with Clemo, Kumar, Wright etc?

Waiting for the right manager isn’t a bad thing.

People complaining of lack of action ect but we have improved situation greatly despite league position something that can change substantially with couple of wins who's to say a permanent coach would see us in better position if signed 8wks ago?

Spot on.

Start of season it was ‘we want better football’

Now we have better football it’s another thing.

If Cardiff won the prem then people would moan ticket prices too high

Wez I was thinking that , just i could not find any info on contract length.
If we can sign him it will be worth the wait as hes what we need.

I would be absolutely amazed if we got Bilic but if we do it would be up there with Warnock’s appointment. He’s proven at this, and the next, level a nobody could have too much negativity about him taking the job.

I would also hope Riza is kept on. He certainly showed he has potential and might provide some forward planning and continuity for a change !!

Whatever happens come the New Year - For the moment I hope Riza and the players can get back to Winning ways :bluebird:

We don't have a great strength in depth to rotate as much as other clubs
